Restaurant Date Game With Preordered Drinks/Food
Lock down a spot by getting the staff on speed-dial?

Picture this- You bring your date in. Manager and waitress greet you by first name. Bring you to your reserved table which has a ice-bucket w/wine, two empty glasses and a light appetizer. You then ask the date her allergies/preferences for meat, then order something bomb or have the manager/waitress choose something. (Extra points if its during their busy periods)

In recap, G-manifesto restaurant date game(hello from the staff, skip lines, order off the menu w/out looking, free drinks, yada yada yad) but having the chef/manager/waiter setup the table before hand.

No muss, no fuss, all impress

Thoughts? Suggestions? Experiences?

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

There are better ways to spend money than taking a woman to a restaurant. If you have to rely on spending money at a restaurant to impress a woman, then you are doing it wrong and need to improve your game.

Be VERY careful when trying to impress.
By itself it's not any different from what hundreds of struggling chumps do when trying to go over the top on a date.

You have to do it like it's something completely natural for you. That however sets a dangerous precedence as you'll have to keep operating on that level or you will soon reveal yourself as incongruent.

I wouldn't make any major efforts here. The scenario you described is what happens when I used to take girls to Mozza (dinner dates really are a waste unless it's a super cool chick you genuinely enjoy hanging out with), but that's because I know the entire staff there. Depending on the bartender, I just tell them:

"You know what I like. For her? Something with champagne. We're kind of hungry so just tell Johnny to send us whatever's good." I've got a few restaurants where I can act like this, either places I've worked or where I have friends.

I've done the whole, "I don't want to see a bill at the end of the meal." It's a solid move, but mostly unnecessary. I will agree that it's pretty un-alpha to be staring at a bill, trying to figure out the tip, so I usually roll with a clip of hundreds and just throw one or two down depending on how expensive dinner was.

But I wouldn't do this at a restaurant where you didn't have actual connections, except the paying at the end thing. Better to actually network and get solid connections, and/or work out a barter system.

"...so I gave her an STD, and she STILL wanted to bang me."

^^^I've done this at sushi spots near me that I frequent- first name basis, ordering "whatever is good. "

@Vicious - As for congruency, I like eating out. I would eat out alone or w/a girl. But this isn't just for a "dinner date", this implies you go regularly (aka means shes nothing special).

Subtle difference between this move and taking girls to overpriced restaurants to get some.

RE: Restaurant Date Game With Preordered Drinks/Food
I think this overall depends on what's your style and what's the girls style. I am in my early 30s and am always eager to try good food at sometimes overpriced restaurants (but usually not michelin star level ones, I find that personally too much).

If I have a date with a girl with the same tastes in terms of food, I will be happy to take her to one of my favourite spots and I think that could help me a lot. But there are many factors here to be considered: style of the restaurant, type of food, pricing scale.

If you are a teenager boy who likes to go out for some beers in your local pub, wear t-shirts saying "Pearl Jam", etc, I suggest you don't try so hard, and just go for a cosy restaurant with some comfort food, such as pizzaria, with comfortable and appropriate chairs and tables, gentle staff, affordable alcool and appropriate lightining (not too much light, please). I assume you're going to date one of your peers too.

If you're an older guy who has his own flat and other stuff to impress (car, clothes, etc), then it depends on who you're dating. Taking the girl to a top sushi restaurant can be a great experience, but it happens that some girls (students, etc) are so not used to this kind of venues, that they start to freak out the very moment we arrive and then it's counterproductive ("isn't this too much, Frank?" "Frank, maybe I'll just go for the salad if you don't mind", "Do they serve tap water?"). Also other bitchy girls will probably have a good time and qualify you as a beta type, not even electing you as a potential mate for a night out afterwards (it happened to me when younger and I decided to calibrate a bit my tactics because of that...).

I think a great option for almost all cases is usually Italian restaurant, as long as it is not Pizza Hut or Pizza Express or the sort. Usually these places have good logistics and there is the assumption of the girl that the prices won't be so high. You could also consider restaurants with small dishes (like Spanish tapas) where it is not so obvious that the final price will be more expensive than she expects - this also allows you to share various small dishes, which enhances your intimacy with her.

In terms of having set menus... Maybe, why not. But one should be careful about this. When things are too much "arranged", it becomes artificial, and then the magic of it disappears...

I guess more relevant than that is to be familiar with the place and staff. That can give you extra points, since you may even prove your good taste by recommending her nice main courses, or telling stuff like "you really need to try this white wine that there's in the list, I always order it when I come, trust me", thus enhancing the likelihood that she drinks alcool.

There are few things in life that are worth shelling out big money for. One of them is fine dining.

It doesn't matter what you do with the girl, so long as you take her up in the ride that is you. If create or are an experience that is powerful, engaging, fun etc. you can do anything with a girl.

You want to get to a point where you are the best ride in theme park. You want to be the Great American Scream machine.. not just another stallion on the cock carousel.

Another benefit- no menu and no prices. It puts the "price burden" off her. She has some general notions about the price, but shes not worrying about it- after all, you ordered for her.

@Frank- Never said anything about "set menus". Thats bush league sh-t. I said light app and wine/drinks at table waiting when you arrive. Order dinner w/her input (no menu). But you are spot on about pizza, italian and spanish spots. Great date spots.

Yes, that's a good one... I go for that many times, specially when I see she's not comfortable with the venue. And if she's a bit smart she will be sure by then that you'll offer to pay in the end. Actually some of them are so smart that they even say "no, please you decide what we should eat..." putting immediately the burden over you, so it's better to anticipate that move.

I know that in some restaurants they have menus without prices available for girls if you ask in advance when you book. However, and depending on the type of girl, I find this can be a bit too much in most cases. This can lead to her saying "hey, where are the prices?", and then you'll have to give some explanation, which will also not help much and pbby give away that you were planning the date more carefully than she was expecting. This can also end up with you paying a fortune for that amazing crab with caviar that she decided to order.

RE: Restaurant Date Game With Preordered Drinks/Food
This all sounds great. Unfortunately, I found the only time "restaurant game" worked for me personally was in high school, when going to restaurants on your own was still new.

I think a lot of us base our later game ideas on what worked for us when we were young. I sure did. But when women get into their twenties and beyond, I find they get jaded. And even if you know staff and such (which I do at my local Italian place) it's not really so effective. They've seen a lot of restaurants and bottles before.

But more importantly, I think once adult women surmise you're trying to impress them, they translate that to "desperation" and "Beta" in their minds. I'm not trying to be mean -- it sounds like your heart is in the right place. I just think going in trying to impress really only works with girls who have just started dating and are new to boys. To sum it up, what worked great for me at prom did not translate into my twenties.

I don't want to be accused of "arguing like a woman" and claim that just because something didn't work for me it won't work for anyone. But I've seen enough evidence that this type of game is often not effective. In all seriousness, I had better luck inviting women over and when we wanted food we "ironically" went to 7-Eleven to get Combos and donuts or the local trashy diner (which has since sadly closed).

Weirdest of all, the women I did this with are the private school types. Go figure. Good luck.

Actually this started to work well for me in my late 20s, early 30s, because I started to master this style a bit better. In my early 20s I would agree with you 100% and consider that it's better not to impress her with anything and just invite her out. The fact is, I'm not even trying to imprress. For me it's quite natural to eat out.

But of course, this depends on your personality, age, style, place where you're living, girls you're trying to impress, etc. If going for a late donut with her works fine for you, don't change the winning team... And it makes you save some good money in the end of the day.

Don't try to imitate a mob boss or you will fail. If you are trying to "impress" a woman instead of "introducing her to your lifestyle", you're doing it wrong.

Locking down spots can take a long time, and getting there will naturally take years.

Experience and their perks come with age. If you want to live the life, you have to live the life. Capiche?

This is where we start getting into game 2.0

The first level of game deals directly with the girl. The second level of game focuses more on arranging the context so that the girl comes to you.

You create the vibe that draws her in.

Their is grinder game where you go out and hit the bars and trudge through LMR etc. and then their is rockstar game where you totally blow all that shit out of the water and she feels like she's missing out if she doesn't fuck you.

Which game do you want to spend your energy on?

Cool.

I had a choice to make tonight:

1. Egg whites by myself in my apartment and stare at the wall.

2. Eating and Drinks with a fly Colombian girl at a dope restaurant when I know everyone that works there.

Glad I made the right choice.

I get where you are coming from and if done in the right context is dope.

1. Have a restaurant/lounge On-Lock, because YOU enjoy going there.

2. You are planning on hitting it up one evening REGARDLESS if your 'date' joins you or not.

3. She joins you for a light dinner/wine/drinks.

What is wrong with this scenario? Nothing.

I dub it Swoop-With-Class Game.

Too much of the old PUA nonsense of you can't buy a girl a drink/dinner/anything or you're Beta. Nope. It's HOW you do something for a girl; not the act of doing it.

Game On.

Exactly.

Because when you roll to spots with WITH an attractive female companion it helps you swoop more girls.

It is a perfect loop.

I rolled into K-town w/a fly date. We started chatting w/a random couple at the bar. Ended up joining their table which was chockful of other hot asian girls (b-day party). I swooped the b-day girl's friend 1 week later.

RE: Restaurant Date Game With Preordered Drinks/Food
The sad thing is people think it takes a miracle or something to "lock a restaurant down". Its not that hard. Heres how I lock down old-school sushi joints. Roll there 3 times in 2 weeks.

Sit at the sushi-bar. Order a LARGE sake carafe or bottle. Take shots w/the sushi chefs. Repeat. Shoot the shit about all the different types of fishes. Ask them what their favorites are. Order their favorite sushi. Tip Well (20% should do).

Other stand-out features- 1) Come solo 2) Come in basketball shorts to sushi spot for lunch (went directly after the gym, haha) 3) Come suited and rocking a square, beautiful girl in tow. <----This was the exact sequence of my last lock-down. Now all the owners, chefs, busboys, and waiters know me.

First thing I hear walking in w/a date "DVY, Welcome back..." Locked up.
