RE: Shirts
So I just made a couple of shirts on Zazzle. Not really into making shirts but I need to scrape together some extra cash for my walk. Two of the shirts were taken from photos I shot, the other I just made. I believe the last shirt could use some revisions but...would like some opinions, good or bad. The last shirt is sort of a giveaway in a package for those who donate.

I like the first. Not as stoked on the second.

For the third, I think the map should go on the back of the shirt. And maybe keep the flag on the front.

I like the first. The second is alright, I wouldn't want it in that color though. The third is a bit strange. I think I agree with BB about puting the map on the back and leaving the flag on the front. I'd also make half of them V-necks as well. What you're doing is cool though, respect.

RE: RE: Shirts
I also like the first one... I would however like the shirt to be longer, but the same fit over the shoulders/arms.

The second ones design is cool to, I just don`t fancy that type of green. Maybe a more military green would fit the design on the chest better? Or a navy-blue to fit the skull-color? Beige?

Third one miss me, because it looks like a souvenir-shirt to be honest.

Anyway, cool to see you are producing!

RE: RE: Shirts
Thanks for the comments. There are numerous styles of shirts to choose from and with the exception of the shirts sold in white, which are $5 cheaper, there are anywhere from between 25 and 40 different color shirts.

Here is the link to the store - not all the shirts I've finished have gone online yet but they will shortly.
http://www.zazzle.com/anamericaninbangkok/products

There is a forest green but no camo.

There is a navy blue:

V-neck
http://www.zazzle.com/mask_tee_shirt-235...5757124638

Again, there is a wide selection of colors available, I'm just trying to get the right color combinations now.

The third shirt I'm still working on and it's a shirt for when I walk the length of Thailand. The map on the back is a good idea and I'll probably do it, although it drives the cost up.

RE: RE: Shirts
The first shirt is good, nice image size, colors and it looks neat and clean. The second in my opinion is a bit too bold and colorful. I think you could improve it if the image was black and white or sepia on a black or grey colored t-shirt.
The third shirt could be improved if the map of Thailand on the front was just simply showing the land of Thailand and thus wouldn't be a square image design, or even the just the outline of the country with the route marked.

Make the design clean and simple with little to distract the eye, less is more. Also I think the type and flag should be on the back of the shirt because otherwise it could look too crowded.

Girls should be an ornament to the eye, not an ache in the ear.

Not yet. I'm preparing myself now. Walking 4-8 miles a day, stretching calisthenics, etc. Tomorrow will be 15Km which is about 3 1/4 hours of walking. The plan is to bump up the distance every week until I"m walking somewhere in the neighborhood of 160Km a week the last two weeks. The walking isn't difficult but the heat is draining. I usually wake up very early but if I am on the road by 4:30-5:00AM every day I can get in 4-5 of hours of solid walking before the heat of the day. Then I'll rest for a few hours and around 2:30 or so, set off for another 3 hours. At the rate I should reach Chiang Rai in just over 60 days.

I like the design and I may do something like this, at least for one shirt. It needs to say Walking the Length of Thailand. The 2013 can be anywhere. The other thing is that while I want a map, you are right about keeping it simple. However..I'm going to have to figure out how to do the outline of Thailand, then insert Chiang Rai, Bangkok, Betong and the path I'm taking like shown on the original map. There are obviously numerous designs I can do but I want to narrow it down to 2 or 3 max.

Something like this might work too but honestly, it's not really my style.

Most are fairly easy although I may have to walk in rice paddies or mud. I won't be on the road, I'll be off to the side so I'm hoping there won't be any problems. I know someone who walked across Asia and he managed, so I should be able to also.

can you get it done in grey? can you get a better cotton thread count - would make it look better and more comfortable for you to wear.

There are a couple different greys and a total of 25 different colors.

As far as the thread count, what are you buying sheets? The shirt is 100% heavyweight cotton with double-needle stitched the bottom and sleeve hems for extra durability.

I finally finished the T-shirt section of my website. Well, sort of finished. I've got a dozen shirts up but plan on putting some others up.

Please take a look and let me know your opinion of them, good or bad.

I like the artwork but I dont like how it looks on the shirts.
It would be cooler if the pictures merged with the t-shirt color if that makes any sense. Maybe by setting a frame around the picture and having the shirt in a colour similar to the artwork. For instance the blue skull on a black shirt.

This is only one color obviously but the shirts are many colors available. So if you want the image to fade into the T-shirt then you need to get a similar color to the print.

I can make borders. The reason I haven't is because unless I do a border for each color of the shirt, the colors may or may not mesh, if that makes sense.

In the near future I make put some of these images and others on things like postcards, mouse pads, posters, etc. I have a huge library of boxing and travel photos I can use too and haven't had the time to look through it. The other thing is I don't want to spend a huge amount of time on these things as the payoff is relatively low in relation to the time spent.

The only way to "fade the edges of the image into the shirt" is to use a comparable shirt color.

The process and the shirts are high quality, the image is definitely not ironed on, even though it might look like it from the photo.
