Should've mentioned the cab from Gemmayzeh to Hamra. Haha, only the taxi from the airport ripped me off. He must've said 'Welcome to Lebanon' to me about 20 times during the trip to the hotel. It was only 30 dollars so I didn't give a shit.

Yeah, Hamra Street area and Gemmayzeh are great. The ABC mall in Achrafiyeh and the area surrounding it have a bunch of cafes, too.

Crazy city, though. One day I walked from Hamra to Achrafiyeh and ended up walking through the Amal neighborhood. There are also Hezbollah neighborhoods up the hill from Hamra. Nobody bothers you -- these days.
