1/2/3 are all NYC. You can still get studios in Manhattan for under $1200 in safe neighborhoods, they're just small. But why would you want to hang out and play Halo all day? So so many hot, broke college girls and 20-somethings and you can get awesome burritos, chinese, sushi for super-cheap pretty much anywhere. Also, the NYC-area has like 2mm more single, straight women than men. That's a lot.

For 95% of young women in NYC, just having your own apt in Manhattan is such a mega-DHV. My first apt was < 250 sq ft'. But it was all mine. Girls eat that stuff up. Plus if you're going out with them at night instead of 'Oh, I'll met you at xyz Bar,' you can set up logistics for your neighborhood. Then when she texts that she's getting on the subway or whatever soon just tell her to meet at your place. She comes in, you buzz her up, she sees your pad for 5 minutes, figures you're not an axe murderer, you go out and drink 2-3 bars, then end up back at your place.

I've been here 6 years. Every time I visit Manhattan there is at least one girl who will destroy me with brutality if I didn't approach her with optimal game. That never happens in Chicago - it's way easier here. Austin is really good but there's way too many dudes there.

Quick field report from Chicago from myself being an intermediate. Went out to bars in Bucktown on Saturday night. My brother and I had 3 separate girls approach us. Number crunched 2 girls.

I rarely have gotten approached out at night in SoCal. Girls aren't marching around the bar looking to start conversations. 1 of the 3 girls even approached us while we were sitting at our table, not posted up at the bar or anything.. just in our own conversation.

Downside I have noticed in Chicago is the busted dudes test doesn't pass well. I've seen quite a few good looking tall guys with 6's. Also at the bars I saw maybe a handful of 7's, no 8's off memory. I wasn't at any place with face control though. I would describe Chicago as a place with a lot of a cute good girl approachable looking 6's. There are some 7's and 8's around, but it did not seem frequent. Met some girls that live here but went to university on either the West or East coast and they picked up some coldness. I am guessing girls that stayed for college in the Midwest are much more feminine.

You should be glad she taught you something. She picked up on something during your approach, your vibe, your lack of confidence, terrible style, inability to DHV, something important went awry.

Yeah, yeah, big city girls are bitchier. But not to every guy they meet.

I think NYC would be the best place because once you earn your bones there you can game anywhere. There's also infinite opportunity for trial and error since there's endless girls and the city is just so damn big that it's not like you gotta worry about a rep or anything.

As for living outside of Manhattan to save $, it's doable. Like Williamsburg is very close to Manhattan so to save bread you can just ride the train into the city (East Village, Union Square, etc) for like $2-3 when you go out at night. Then when you close on a chick, either go back to her place (assuming she's close by or in the city) or cab it back to your place, which isn't expensive or far at all if you live in Williamsburg. So even though you don't have to live in Manhattan, it's definitely favorable for logistics. You have the most options for girls and venues there. But you can still hack it living in the closer parts of Brooklyn (Williamsburg, BK Heights, Park Slope, etc). You also have tons of hipster bars in Williamsburg when you just want to go out on a chill night and find some chicks for the night with little effort.
