Fresh Air
I am amazed at the lack of fresh air in peoples homes.

I go to my friends houses and it is often stuffy, humid, and lacking in fresh air.

It often stinks of sex, sweat, shoes, and old food. Guys fuck and fart yet never open a window!

Artificial air conditioning and heating can restrict fresh air.

People complain about being tired, lethargic, and hot. People get irritable and restless. Often times, this is a result of no fresh air.

OPEN YOUR WINDOWS, GO OUTSIDE.

Get some fresh air.

This is as fundamental as water.

This will energize you.

RE: Fresh Air
^ Agreed. I am surprised when I go over to people's houses how stuffy it can be and how they just keep no spraying air-freshners to keep their house smelling good. I occasionally use air-freshners too but it's definitely not healthy to keep inhaling those chemicals.

I said this in another thread about drinking water which you started as well, I am surprised how little water people around me drink.

RE: Fresh Air
Absolutely. I always drive with the windows down and have the windows at my place open unless it's unbearably hot outside.

I feel like shit if I don't get out at all during the day. Plus the Vitamin D from being out in the sun.

RE: Fresh Air
For sure, that's one highly underrated aspect of health that most of us neglect, and one reason why I like where I live, clean/fresh coastal air, very minimal air pollution. I don't think there have been too many studies done on this, but I'm sure there are horrible long term effects for people who live in cities with horrible airborne pollution, Bangkok, Mexico City, Shanghai, etc.

It's probably not something that will have much affect in the short term, but in the long term if you live in a place like that, day in and out, after time it will take it toll, kind of like a person who smokes cigarettes. For those who do live in big cities with bad air pollution, I'd say try to get out of the city at least a couple times a month, a go hiking in a clean pristine environment, with fresh air.

People also habituate to their apartments smell. Just because you don't smell anything doesn't mean that your apartment does not smell.

This is true, seems like everyones house or apartment has a slight smell to it, it can range from nasty stank to neutral to a hot girl's place which might be clean and smell good. Any how, I think most people are oblivious to how their place smells, because they get so used to it.

People tell me my place has a smell, but rarely to they say it smells bad, I try to open windows and keep it relatively clean. It helps to vaccum carpet, clean your toilet, and change your bed sheets regularly, but this is basically stating the obvious. A good buddy of mine who is a stoner artists with two cats, has an apartment with a habitual funk, sometimes I can barely stand to be in there, but usually I get used to it after a minute or two.

RE: Fresh Air
I always get compliments on how good my place smells, and I live right by a major international airport. Fans running all day. Santa Maria Novella Potporri and an ionizer from brookstone.
