For what it's worth, I personally would not live or stay long-term in Ukraine or Moldova, but I would definitely could live in Tashkent. It is more exotic (as you and Vorkuta said, a cross between EE and SEA), people are nicer and more hospitable (honestly, ukrainians and moldovians masses are a pretty dumb lot), culture is much more enthralling, it's safer and cleaner, food is better, weather is much more enjoyable, there's mountains, great lakes and wonderful historic cities (Samarkand, Bukhara, ect) easily reachable for weekend breaks, and girls are equally beautiful, more ethically diverse and much less jaded.

This is true. There is an implicit level of trust between individuals especially in Anglo-Saxon cultures. Where you just expect things to get done.

America is not the most successful capitalist country in history for nothing. Service is king in the USA. Not many places will happily give you a refund on an item you don't like and in some cases even a token gesture, e.g. a discount card or a free meal when your level of satisfaction is low.

Generally this will be done in a pleasant, respectful manner. We have it good and take these things for granted.

Furthermore, I think the basic level of trust is also to do with laws that are enforced by a police force with a low level of corruption. People can reasonably expect that breaking laws will result in punishment.

I think this all comes back to Maslow's Hierachy of Needs.



As previously mentioned we have many of our basic needs in the West met, e.g. security - policing of the state.

Therefore as a society we can afford to pursue other enterprises when we don't have to worry where our next meal is coming from etc.

The self-actualization traits are the cornerstone of the American economic juggernaut: creativity, problem solving, lack of prejudice, acceptance of facts, innovation.

However I think that the higher points in the pyramid are met in the West to the detriment of others. The Love/Belonging - sexual intimacy, friendship and the family nucleus in the West are seriously compromised in the pursuit of riches.

How many times do you know of a guy who stabs his friend in the back? Just look at the rise of the White Knight culture, intervening in another man's affairs when its no business of your own.

Sexual intimacy with an American woman? Forget it. Or how about people who leave their parents to rot in a residential care home? In South America people don't let their grandmothers out of the house by herself!

The irony is that basic physiological needs on Maslow's Hierachy are all met in the West bar one and arguably one of the most important for men is sex.

That's why the majority of men on here are going to places like the FSU,SEA, South America, etc.

Well since no man here has the balls to go to Venus the FSU is as good as any. But if women are truly from Venus that gets my vote.
People have right to go where they want. NOT everyone wants easy ONS. Certainly that's NOT FSU. But some countries are so easy that its probably not fun at all. Isn't GAME about there being a challenge?
Living in FSU can work if you become total native.Its sometimes hard bonding with other expats because ,like i said, often you get the most shady guys living there long term.Most guys living there get a LTR GF. Otherwise they be unhappy .Like Prosal has hinted you truly only see the good side of FSU gals when you actually get to know them and date them.
But no one should wine. 10 years ago we had no English tv channels, no fast internet , couldn't download torrents. It really was nothing to do except date girls. You even have more food variety today both in cafes and supermarkets. Now you can basically live the same couch potato lifestyle most guys live in the west. Sit and play video games, watch movies and tv, read western papers, work out.

Well, admittedly, I don't dance in the mud, and I get tired of electronic music very quickly, but it has nothing to do with it. Kazantip is the most miserable place I have seen so far in the FSU ...if you want to party among tons of foreign men (italians, frenchs, turks, dutchs, brits, ect, all being there with the silly idea that top-notch girls will throw themselves at them), then this is the place to be. The M:W ratio in Kazantip is around 4:1.

Kazantip is done. It was surely good in the late 90's and till 2002/2003, but the massive advertisement campaigns in western Europe, driven by the organizer's greed of profit, definitely killed the place. Nowadays, if you say to a reasonably "in" and classy russian or ukrainian girl that you have been to Kazantip, your sex-appeal will plummet. It's just like saying that you spend your vacations in Sudak or Koktebel (Krimean resorts for poor people). The 100$ that I spent for my entrance ticket have been the 100 $ the most uselessly spent of all my travels in FSU. I was there in 2011 - I did not want to go, because friends told how miserable it is and also because I've always been very suspicious about those promotional videos full of gorgeous half-nude chicks, but a girl dragged me there.

If you want to go to a really cool festival, go to Nashestvie in Tver. That said, I have never been in a place where "there actually were Russian beauties down for insta-fuck".

I get fatigue after anywhere after a month. That's just our nature. It is definitely not specific to FSU although it will be the most testing due to language and extreme cultural differences. Whilst they are the thing that keep me on my toes at first will become the things that become a drag. I realise now there is no place that things will be perfect so I literally have to keep moving around. GOing home for a few months stokes the fire but the longer you travel the less motivation you have to explore. AS I prepare for my second stint on the road I definitely don't have the same amount of excitement as I used to as I know exactly what to expect. Having said that I know a change of scenery does wonders and there are enough places around the world to keep you going for a lifetime.

I entirely agree but I still get the itch for some reason. I built a solid hareem in Kiev but I still left after 3 weeks. THink it was a case of eyes to big for my tummy so wanted to keep moving. In hindsight it was a mistake I suppose but now I limit myself to 2/3 weeks trips simply because I become complacent and I'd rather be back home in my bed with my luxuries than being with the same girls in a city that is not entirely to my likings.

@Roosh: I meant to write this in my above post. There's a place you might like. It's live music every night and a college-age crowd. The concerts start pretty early, maybe 8PM and finish up maybe around 10 or so. After the concert the bar is open but on the week night when I went in it was dead, everybody left after the show. I never made in time for the show, but it's many different genres of music and I talked to a couple guys hanging around outside one day who I think were in one of the bands and they were quite cool.

Anyway, on the day I noticed it there were loads of hotties pouring out of there. It's on preobrazhenska street on a corner near bunina or maybe a street or two farther out from there. From your posts I bet you prefer this sort of crowd to the more glitzy places. I guess depending on the style of music you can filter even more.
