This happened about 1.5 years ago, and I've been meaning to write about it ever since.

I was out partying in BKK and I had been striking out all night. I'm not some super player or Brad Pitt, but I rarely strike out all night long like this, be it in Thailand, or back home in California.

It was about 3AM and I was feeling pretty down. No numbers, no real conversations, no nothing. Brutal night.

I made one last lap around and then said fuck it, I'm out of here.

On the way out of the club I see one girl sitting alone on a bar stool by the exit, playing on her phone. She's a cute 6 or 6.5. Early 20's. Not a stunner, but very cute, young and petite. Just how I like em.

I was feeling pretty low, and was tired as shit, and was going to walk right by her without saying anything.

I convinced myself that I would be a pussy if I did that, so I made a hail mary attempt and went up to talk to her.

I approach and she damn near jumps out of her seat as I startled her. She was 100% into her phone and didn't see me approach until I tapped her on the shoulder.

After 30 seconds of small talk about how she can't find her friends I told her to follow me to the lobby (club is in the basement of a hotel) so we can talk. I gently grab her by her hand and lead her out.

We start walking and talking about how she is in town on vacation from Chiang Mai, and how she just got back from Phuket. She has to fly home in a day or two to go back to school.

We walk through the lobby, past the reception desk, out the front doors, and straight into a cab. I tell the cab driver to take me to my condo and off we go.

We get there, I pay the cab, jump into the elevator, and jump right into bed. Done deal.

Two things made this bang possible.

1. It was 3-4AM and her friends had obviously ditched her for some reason.

and 2. I pulled up my britches and went for one last approach before going home like a pussy to cry and jerk off into my bath towel.

This bang would have never happened had I not worked up the balls to make one final approach that was presented to me, even though my state was super low and I wasn't feeling it at all. I made one last approach and was rewarded for it.

Moral of the story?

Always approach, even when you don't feel like it. You never know when that one last approach will turn things in your favor.

great post.

I have been extremely busy lately, and having some challenges with some relationships closest to me. A sure fire way that changes my mood for the better, is to day game, or just do a few approaches in a day on the street. It totally diverts your focus and improves your mood big time, even if you sucked at the approach!

A) She was a vacation hookup... that much easier man, but NEVERTHELESS bro, great job.

B) Alone... big difference, if a girl is alone in a public place and ready to go, that makes a big diff.

C) Logistics... you were right on top with that one... quick cab ride away, nice.

Good story. I think more than this being a lesson about approaching, which no doubt is the foundation, it's about "target selection." A guy can approach all night long, but if he keeps picking the wrong "targets" he will continually get blown out. If you see a cute girl by herself at a bar, that is the ideal girl to approach, most of the time girls like that are just waiting for a guy to approach them.

Whereas you could approach set after set of 3-5 hot girls that are all dolled up on a girls night out and get blown out, due to cockblocking, bitch shields, and the "all for one and one for all" mentality. A girl by herself is usually bored, wants attention, and will be easy picking if you have game... Add to that the fact that there is no one there to cockblock you and you are golden.

Approaching is definitely important, but you can approach hard or you can approach smart. When I'm in a venue my eye usually wanders towards the girls I am most sexually attracted to, but often these girls aren't always going to be the easiest to pick up. I kind of "take notes" and try to see who she's with, her facial expressions, body language, mannerisms, etc. Some of my easiest and most seamless pick ups were with girls who were at the bar by themselves for whatever reason, which also seemed to be the case for Rio in that situation.

So if you want to increase your odds of succeeding in this game, don't blindly just approach hard, but use a bit of tact and approach smart.

Scratch Dog. I've pulled from there a few times, same type of Thai table style as RCA. Can be tricky, but gets easier past 1am when the girls get drunk and loosen up.

I hadn't been forever until last month, and it was filled with Singaporean and Korean tourists and hookers. There were always a bit of freelancers there, but last time seemed much worse. Not sure if that is the norm there now or not, but I'm thinking it is.

I've gotten multiple bangs in basically this situation, where I was tired/frustrated and really wanted to throw in the towel but said fuck it and made one last approach. One of them was one of the 3 or 4 hottest girls I've ever banged.

I think there's something about deciding to suck it up and make that last attempt that directly improves your game. Knowing that it's now or never gives you a sense of urgency that motivates you not to half-ass anything, and the knowledge that you've avoided taking the easy way out by giving up makes you feel more like a man, which probably helps your vibe.

Another factor is that last-ditch efforts tend to occur around last call, which is when really fast desperation bangs are most likely to go down.
