Indeed. The fact that this creature responsible for the horrific killing of several innocent people has enjoyed the past 45 years, drawing a band of demented groupies and flirting with crackpot young women, while his victims have lied cold in the ground, runs counter to any sense of justice. It's one of the reasons I do not oppose the death penalty.

I can't really get behind the weeping chorus in regard to these murders in any meaningful way. I mean, yeah, it's hideous when any human life is taken at random, but do you see such handwringing in response to any single one of the soldiers that have been killed at war over the past decade? No, you don't, and that's because they aren't repeatedly hyped to you by the media as both Charles Manson and Sharon Tate have been since 1969. It's a classic case case of cultural conditioning. Someone on this forum posted a statistic of deaths per minute, hour, day, etc earlier this week and it blew my mind (love this place). Really, when you turn the cameras off, how sentimental would we get about any one of these people? I mean, I would love to eradicate death and suffering in general, but as that seems to be entirely unrealistic, why should we devote fountains of crocodile tears to celebrities who in the grand scheme of things meant nothing more than your average terminal cancer patient?
