Hi guys

I have two months free in July/August this year. I'm looking to go somewhere warm, with good nightlife options, preferably by the beach and not too expensive.

I have several ideas in mind but am open to other suggestions:

Ecuador/Colombia/Peru - I have never been to South America but think these countries could be a good starting point at this time of year due to their being near the equator. However is this a quiet time of year to go/low season?

South Eastern Europe - The Greek Islands, former Yugoslavia, Turkey and Israel are all interesting options. Even Odessa but I don't speak any Russian so think it might be tough.

Central Europe - No beach but it would be tempting to spend some time moving around Hungary, Poland, Ukraine etc.

I have already spent quite a bit of time in South East Asia so am not considering it at this point.

I could even stay in one place for a longer time without moving around too much. If you guys have any ideas or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

The Balkans and the rest of Europe will be packed with tourists in August since most Europeans are enjoying their summer vacations. This can be both good or bad, depending from what view you are looking from. Especially Croatia will be filled with sleazy Italians.
The cheapest alternatives are Poland, Serbia, Lithuania,Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania.

I think the most optimal place for you is the Bulgarian black sea coast.
Check our places like Burgas, Sunny Beach, Varna etc.
And if you get tired.. Odessa and Istanbul are not far away.

So that time of year you could expect to have a decent nightlife any day of the week in Sunny Beach?

Edit: reading some of the replies on that thread it might not be good for me. I'll add I would like to be as far from the British package holiday crowd as possible. I realize that might conflict with the 'not too expensive' line but that's only to rule out the St. Tropez/Miami's of the world

In July/August you'll find British holiday package hooligans all over Europe except maybe Ukraine. There's no way around it if you want to spend time at some beaches.
But don't focus too much on the sleazy British hooligans.
