Let me guess, did you try to neg and it backfired? Rather than focusing on the comeback, maybe figure out how to fine tune your negs so that they make the girl laugh. If the girl doesn't laugh(at herself) from your neg, you did it wrong.

I don't try to use negs or jokes via texting in the first place, that way you don't get in messes like that. Texting eliminates your actual personality coming through, and some people have trouble getting the sarcasm. Gives women an easy excuse to eliminate you IMO. I joke with girls via text after I've banged them.

That being said, since you're already into it, I'd use Fisto's response.

Next time don't try to use jokes in your texts, they accomplish nothing, I learned this the hard way too. Until you've got the bang, stick with Roosh's advice, use the phone to set dates. You could joke on an actual phone call, but today there's really no reason you should be on the phone with a girl you're not already banging.

I've learned that doing anything by text, except for brief informational texts, confirmation texts, non-sequiter texts, or in some situations very sexual flirting, is always worse than talking as far as results go.

I totally agree. I have no desire to be on the phone with girls anymore. Even when I'm in a relationship I don't like being on the phone. At least no more than a few minutes.
