Trying to arrange plans with a girl. We last went out Sunday, she was really into it.

While setting up plans today she said we should plan "something small and cozy" this weekend or over the next week "to catch up a little."

Any thoughts on how to handle this?

I think it's either anti-slut prevention because she thinks she needs to play hard to get, or she's experienced a rapid change of heart during the past few days after she went to this "hottest male doctor" contest her college program through yesterday.

You're attributing too much complexity to a girl's mental process. Everything she says, just boil it down to two words. "will fuck" or "fuck me" or "no fuck".
That's as easy as it gets.

"Great," = you are excited, and are anticipating being with her, like a little puppy. Don't do this. Go SIMPLER.

"Sat. 8pm, bring a movie."

See how easy that is? All she wants is direction, and if you let her drive, you'll only end up crashed into a milk truck.

Hmm, I guess I was thinking she wanted to distance herself from me because things were moving too fast. Here the phrase "catch up a little" seemed to suggest restraint/aloofness.

Can you please elaborate how she is being "super direct"? I'm just not understanding how this shows she is putting herself out there...

Come on Sphinx, use your head. She is into you, which means you need to get her over to your place ASAP. If she says something like "small and cozy," that means she wants to hang out with you and only you.

I used commiejoe's suggestion, "7 PM Sunday. Bring over a movie." No response from her until she texted at 7 PM on Sunday, "Just got out of the photoshoot. Sorry I'm always exhausted after shoots. Alright if we try another night?"

Now I'm just confused.

i agree on playing it cool.

for the letting her call back part. my experience is that i rarely get the call back, unless it's a slut. instead i would say: i'll call you some other time. i never give the ball to the girl, always try to keep control on my side. but i don't know maybe it'll work. and there is some mystery to it: is he really gonna call back? when will he call back?

on the: we'll figure it out part. lets break this down. this is a statement where you sound like: we have a problem together and we need to solve it. this sounds awfully clingy, at least to me. maybe this would be better: we'll set something up.

I agree with this, you are the man, you have to lead the interaction. Anything along the lines of "sure we can try again later at a better time" is fine. But expecting her to call you is probably not going to work out. Today's women are already phone challenged.
