Ok, so I thought I try and play some old work contacts on LinkedIn. I've never tried to do this before...that's why I'm in the Newbie forum.

I send a quick message...Hi, wondering if we could get together, don't want to die wondering etc...shit like that

And I get this reply:

Seems like a polite way to say "no".

Without further context, this looks like a set up to keep putting you off until you stop asking to go out with her.

Etc, etc...

The real question though, is whether you should be trying to get laid through LinkedIn?

It's a very connected and open platform. Combine that with the fact most industries are smaller than they look from the outside and you could be setting yourself up for some shit further down the line.

Going after something from work is a bad idea and people do it anyway. However, if she's taken no initiative to show interest in a social setting, it's absolutely a bad idea. All the downside with limited upside. Cold restarts, especially emotional ones, on LinkedIn seems like a reputational catastrophe in the making.

My ex used to get 2-3 messages a week from old co-workers, guys who were in her field, recruiters, etc and there was always 1 that was an unsolicited date. She would show them to me almost mocking the guys that use that platform. Not saying you shouldn't, but like others have said, it's pretty open.

Hmm I've had friends successfully meet and bang girls off LinkedIn, most of them were inadvertent. I've had some girls message me for social meets but I never really bothered to use it as a means for pussy as other means were providing me with decent results already.
