Not sure if this belongs in the travel thread or not, but my question is quite location specific.

I am in Hong Kong now. Basically looking for a job in either HK or NYC. All else being equal, I need to factor in poon opportunities between the two places.

Here's some context:
These past two months in HK, online dating has been very friendly to me. My response rate is about 40%. From there, about 3/4 actually want to meet up, and then I actually have to narrow down the selection. OKC has given me a steady supply of dates - it's gotten to the point where I am finding it difficult to work in more than one night of pure night game per week. Other evenings - Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun - are usually taken up by new girls, or girls in the rotation. Tinder has been a nice supplement, though not nearly as reliable. Badoo has been a deluge, but too many domestic helpers for my taste.

Anyways, Hong Kong already gets the slight edge over NYC for night game because LKF is one big street party and you can drink on the streets. Girls are quite approachable on the street.

So really the question comes down to how good okcupid is in NYC. A few thoughts:

- I'm a 5'6'' asian guy, so I'm not really looking for perspective on a 6'3'' caucasian guy. You're naturally gonna get more passive play on OKC, so your experiences don't really translate much to mine.
- I'm only into Asian girls for the most part.
- I looked at the talent on OKC in NYC and I do have to say there are more, and better girls, than in Hong Kong.
- However, I'm guessing there is also a larger base of male users in NYC to flood girls' inboxes.
- I also have the legitimate/illegitimate suspicion that there is a higher number of asian girls in NYC who do NOT date asian guys.

All kidding aside, why not just go on okcupid and find out for yourself? It's not like you have to fly to NYC to check out the online scene.

Is it going to be more of a waste than moving all the way to New York, only to find out that the women you're interested in aren't going to be interested in you? The number of leads is going to start in the 100s of thousands. It's too early to start treating them like special little snowflakes. <~~~~~correction, if you're only interested in Asians, it's only going to be 10s of thousands

You want some real success in NYC? Do this: while waiting on the subway platform, just approach any woman and ask if she does online dating. Most of them will laugh and say 'yes'. Then say...'isn't this a lot better than looking at a computer screen?' and watch them light up. Proceed from there.

OKC is good in NYC. To put it into perspective, one of the best lays I've ever had was a girl I met on that site. Though I'm a 6'0" white guy..

But.. a good friend of mine who is Asian (but 6'0") has a ton of success from online dating sites in NYC. A good trick is to list your income as being higher than it is. 150k is a good amount to put
