Philippines is a primal place. I think it releases in everyone their primal instincts, even by association like reading about someone who's actually been there.

Everyone's opinions about children , a real primal thing, get released.

I guess that's good.

IKE, I appreciate how you seem to be taking all the comments with a level head. You have been around long enough how some of these threads can get derailed.

I value your contributions because it gives food for thought.

Hope the jetlag isn't treating you too bad.

RE: Even I Couldn't Fail In The Philippines
SSS;

I've taken a bad hit jet lag wise, the closest thing I've done is calif->ukraine which is a similar (9 hours) trip east.

I read up on it and legit medical sites say up to two weeks, I'm on my 8th day back and still took a nap today in midday, but I don't feel so depressed like I did at first. The last 7 days since returning I've felt sluggish, depressed, tired, but still couldn't sleep easily.

It was definitelynot as bad on the way there--calif->asia; but I kept travelling around within the Phils so I didn't recover fully even by the end of the 17 days.

I have so far managed to not get significantly sick, no diarreah, no colds etc, which I consider much more important than feeling tired. I feel like being tired is the warning you're close to getting sick, and I make sleep a priority because I hate getting sick.

RE: Even I Couldn't Fail In The Philippines
Maybe the ability to deal with it is age-related, but my way of dealing with jet lag is always to simply force myself to the new timezone immediately. Taking midday naps is not part of that, so I can see why you have trouble adjusting.

I think you have to kind of ignore your body's desires for awakeness and sleep and just go to bed at the right time (even if you cant sleep, it doesn't matter, you're not going to die from <48hrs of sleep deprivation) and not sleeping at the wrong times. You also have to ignore feeling depressed and sluggish. Be more like Barney Stinson and feel awesome instead.

I've never experienced "jetlag" and I've done 9hour differences a number of times. The worst I experienced was that I had to stay awake an entire day when I hadn't slept for a long time (couldnt sleep on the plane) which was well over 24 hours. After that I just crashed around 9pm local time and I was fine from there.

Be careful w/this cash for kids scheme.

I wrote about how I had a thai girl who broke down some of the "common scams".

Big one is getting knocked up and having multiple dudes (who all think they are the father) send her cash. In thailand, 1 chick had 3 kids. She was milking 12-13 foreigner dudes for 300-400/each. She was living pretty.

Ha, ha that girl got busy. With 23 and Me, Family Tree, or National Geographic, and other DNA services you can get your own DNA done and then swab the kid and send that one in for analysis. Not as accurate as a full paternity test, but accurate enough.

Suffering is the very foundation of growth and kids don't need a fancy house or clothes or an Xbox to be happy. All they want is be loved by thier parents. That's it. I see so many parents in America trying to arrange their kids lives so they never have to suffer. These kids grow up spoiled, entitled, resenting their parents, and then later jumping of a building because they can't cope with life not allowing them to have it their way.

I would say it's kind of IKE to give a child to someone who wants one and because of thier economic environment they would be happy with $250/month. After all, what's more valuable than life itself?

And it sounds like IKE is going to visit the child and be a part of his life in some capacity.

I'm not directing this at anyone in paticular but those in the world who think suffering is bad, wrong, should be eradicated from the earth, and all the rest, I invite you to read "The Fire From Within" by Carlos Castenda. For $8 you can buy it on paperback. All you need to do is read Chapter 2 "Petty Tyrants" to see how suffering tunes the human spirit and creates personal power. It's one of the most engaging, on-the-edge-of-your-seat chapters I've read in any book.

Some say we don't really choose to have children, but rather children choose their parents. Before we're born we are looking for the perfect environment that will create just the right amount of suffering to enable us to wake up and learn about who we are and the mystery of life.

Is that really true? I have no idea, but I know it's impossible to say it can't be.

There is strength training, then there is permanent damage that takes years of physiotherapy to recover from, if it's ever recoverable. You have to know which one's we heal from that makes us stronger and which ones you never do.

The PH is a place where you will see mothers breastfeeding their babies living on the street at 1am. I had a GF from south east asia in north america with a white step dad and she was all sorts of fucked up. Her experiences in high school and her early childhood gave her all sorts of PTSD-style syndromes, an inability to forgive people with major internal rage and literal blacking out. The parents probably never knew she was like that too.

250 a month sounds like a fairly cheap estimate for a kid. Any guy who stays in Phils long enough doing what we're doing is probably gonna get either a false or legit pregnancy accusation, at which point he needs to consider the options of keeping or aborting.

I asked about this before when I was there, and I know a girl who receives child support. It's around 800 a month as I recall, which struck me as high. Just be careful with exactly what you're going to pay.

Another way of looking at this: the girl will likely get knocked up by a totally broke filipino dude eventually anyway. Getting 250 a month from IKE is better than that.

If you decide to have children there, I will happily fuck your daughters when they reach 18. Laugh

I love half white half asian chicks.

RE: Even I Couldn't Fail In The Philippines
IKE you really need to spend more time in the expat circles and hang out with lots of expats many older with kids for the first time or started a second family. There are positives and negatives to it but I think until you see it first hand and talk to those guys first hand by making friends with them you cant fully grasp how this will affect you. Spend some time in the provinces and get a grasp of what life is like there. It sounds like your trip was brief and you mainly were just fucking chicks which is cool but I dont think it provides you enough perspective to make such a grave decision regarding your future children. Anyway just my 2 cents. For the record I dont have any opinion about whether you should or shouldnt do this. But I would caution buyers remorse and therefore its best you really immerse yourself in the Philippines for a while and meet other guys who are doing what you want to do and see what their lives are like and what advice they can share on the matter.

Could you be more specific about what you'd like an account of?
Here's a micro-summary.

Way over: Smoking Jgirl stews on Japan Air Lines

On Arrival: First night A 19 YO 7 which I haven't touched for 10 years sleeps (platonically) with me. Totally stunned and forced into new worldview when I see the extent and sheer number of Third World poor.

Most nights after that: Focus on transport logistics in weird areas with pipeline girls some fucked some didn't. Never even opened more than two non-pipline girls. Bringing my travel guitar helped me kill it, I was obviously cultural elite from my creativity.See pic below, it is even smaller than it looks, bottle for size comparison. In its case it looks like a violin, and out of 8 total flights I was only challenged once by a bitchy Philippines Air Lines woman and forced to check it. VERY quickly became accustomed to sleeping with a girl next to me, missed it when on about 8th night I had no one.

Way back: Smoking stews on Japan Air Lines with my favorite actaully Thai ( They have their home location on their name tags)

Got Home: sluggish Jet Lag for about a week, lucky I didn't have to work.

Conclusion: More calculated day game ( e.g. near nursing school coffee shops) on arrival to get chix with more chemistry, longer trips to amortize jet lag.

I put a huge (too much and too long) amount of time into selecting and developing chat rapport online with girls before I left. Let them know when I was arriving.

To my strong surprise when I arrived almost all were willing to simply come over my hotel room. Only one brought her little sister as a chaperone, one was more middle class and had been a club slut I think because she didn't want to come to my room at all. Often getting buses + Taxi for them to get to me was so time-consuming and tedious they had no desire to go through it all again to get home at one or two AM. The ridiculous fear of date-rape so prevalent in USA seems largely absent.

I did write a little bit on places to stay in a previous post on this thread. Standout was Marco Polo in Cebu for $63 online , 4-5 star. Don't try to extend at the desk, it was about $150.

No effort or success at day game which was a mistake because you can't tell chemistry at all through online except a bit when you video chat, but the pipelined girls were hanging on (staying around for breakfast) and I didn't have time honestly. I didn't have much drive to roam the grimy streets, I missed Makati totally which was prob a mistake.

I did nothing with bars, no desire for ONS and I very rarely drink; although one girl ended up being a ONS because a better girl crowded her out. The plainer girl's feelings were hurt because we had agreed to meet next day and I cancelled. I don't like doing that.

I'm going to do a "mistakes to avoid" post soon which I will provide adequate cannon fodder so everyone can laugh at me lollllzlzlz.

I was really kind of tired most of my stay there, I'm in late 50s and it's 8 time zones from home (Japan is 9), only 17 day stay. Did city moves (flights) 4 times and hotel moves like 6. Too much.

I'm 26 and I don't think I would want to move around nearly as much as you did. Hotel moves in such a short period of time really put the damper on day gaming.

I also don't like having that thought in the back of my mind of "Oh shit I have to get my shit packed up soon so I can move again."

RE: Even I Couldn't Fail In The Philippines
Thought about the same "put a baby in her and then send her money" scheme when I was down in Panama last month: hung out with a couple of 19 year old local girls with the juiciest, most ridiculous bodies - you know that they are in their child bearing prime and the only thing you're thinking is "oh fuck I want to put a baby inside of that as quickly as possible". Funny enough, there's a decent amount of interbreeding between the Chinese (close enough) and the locals so a chinito medio wouldn't be such an anomaly.

I'm not even that old as I'm my early 30's, but seeing something as viscerally stimulating as that makes you react in a way that your conscious brain can't fully control. I can only imagine that shit gets more pressing as advancing age and thoughts of mortality come creeping in.

I haven't totally discounted the idea of having a kid in the third world but I understand it's extremely selfish and having had such excellent parents, would want the same for my kids if I have any. Still I thought out a road map if I ever decided to say "fuck it" and pull the trigger:

- make sure it's your kid through simple DNA testing
- send direct shipments of formula, medicine and clothing and set up funds for things like housing, food and schooling instead of sending mom straight cash
- have the kid visit you in the states (or wherever you reside) for extended periods of time during his/her formative years. Instill better English comprehension and critical thinking skills sorely lacking in the third world.
- try to visit a month at a time so at the very least you can do some bonding.

Again, from an extremely selfish standpoint you get a lot of the benefits of having a child while minimizing the costs and drawbacks. Can confirm the kid is yours and then have a vasectomy 99% ensuring that you've limited your input. Someone quoted $54,000 or so for $250 month x 18 years which sounds like a fucking bargain compared to the $1 million plus my yuppie counterparts expect to pay for their kids upbringing till they graduate university. Essentially geographic arbitrage.

Let's be real though, I totally understand the urge to impregnate a broad hipped, big assed third world girl and I have indeed shot my load inside a couple, so I might have a couple already (though I doubt it).

The truth is that if you did so knowingly and then sent a couple hundred a month, do you really think your son or daughter is going to love you once they find out you live in the west in relative luxury or let them slum it out in the third world? Do you want your precious dna to be raised by some dumbass third world stepdad?

As said, better to just shoot and not think too much about it, than willingly sentence your offspring to a live of relative poverty. Or at least set up an education fund and keep in frequent touch. However, if you were to get such a third world baby, I certainly would prefer a filipina mother to a Thai for example.

Thanks for reading and your encouragement.

I actually looked into timing of pregnancy, there is one particular day each cycle they ovulate, and only about a four day window each (approx) 28 day cycle in which a woman is fertile.

Also, even during that four day window, especially with a man in his 50s, the odds of a single intercourse causing pregnancy are somewhere south of 50%, maybe as low as 5-10%.

People sometimes try for years to get pregnant and sometimes never achieve it. Even when they're young, living together and timing things together I've read it takes an average of four months of trying.

The Filipino women I met in Davao and the gold digging scandalous Filipino women I hear about couldn't be farther apart. All the expats I met in Davao that moved there and married Filipino women had very happily families and said Filipino women treated them like woman should treat man and where very happy. None of the (insert high number here) Filipino girls I hooked up with would even take cab money to get home or take money I offered them to pay them back for food they bought, brought to my apartment, and cooked. Maybe my experience was different cause I am a fairly young, in shape, charismatic guy who does well with ladies in the USA as well.

If Filipino women came packaged with Latina curves and looks I would have 6 or 7 wives....and 10 or 11 mistresses.

Yes but I mean, your goal is to try and get her pregnant anyways. So why don't you try to live together for a while either in the Philippines or in the USA? Is it a money or visa issue? or did you decide that you don't want to live with her no matter what happens?

Berserk makes valid points.

Too many guys are watching the money aspect, but kids aren't some tangible asset.
Now if you are willing to live in the Phillipines for a great length of time then that is a different matter. I would need to spend a long time in that country before I knock someone up.
I am sure they are sweet girls, again don't underestimate the power of your western passport.

I'm still saving up, I have about X passive income , I can increase it by about 20% in about four months more of work which will really make everything more doable.

I don't want to get into exact figures because "everyone's an expert" at what are suitable budgets and I don't want to engage in that debate. At all.

Could I ask have you ever lived in a country besides USA? It's easier to answer questions when I know the background of the person who wants to know.

Since I have no experience with Thais this interests me.

Could you explain more specifically why you would rather trust a Filipina than a Thai?

Thanks.

I'm not American and I lived in many countries around the world. I don't want to get into the specifics of your budget.

I'm only wondering why you don't seem to be interested in living with this woman in the USA for a while and see how it goes (if you can't afford to live in the Philippines with enough income)

Part personal experience and part culture.

Filipinas are very international and they adapt very well. Maybe it is because they are an original sea-faring people, I don't know. There are huge filipino communities everywhere and the money they send back to the phillipines make up something like 15-20% of the country GDP. That tells me they are hard working and that they are adaptable.

Thais on the other hand are extremely nationalistic and insular. They rarely mix with anyone but Thais abroad and they will always have that 'Thailand is nr. 1' mindset which means they are much more likely to raise your child as a Thai living in America, unlike filipinos who are more likely to raise their child to be a Filipino-American.

I simply wouldn't want my child to grow up Thai and I think that filipinos are less culturally supremacist.
