I just saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

A pretty amazing script. I don't want to spoil it, but the premise is that the American national security apparatus was infiltrated and controlled by Nazis.

Highly recommended, much better than average actioner.

Oh, Scarlett Johannson is pretty inoffensive. It is unrealistic that she's beating up on special forces, but that low throaty voice makes up for it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this one was. Strong script and good action throughout. I've actually never seen the first movie, I'll definitely have to check it out now.

I've heard that was good, I liked the comics as well, especially when he clashed with crossbones and bullseye.

Watched 300 part 2 the other day and it was hmmkay..

The action movie of the year is also filled with Asians: The Raid 2.

Interesting. I watched the first one and it was a stupid, plot-holed mess with lame action sequences. It sounds like the second one is a proper step up.

Yes, he seemed to be proud to have worked on it. Sometimes, when people work on crap movies for a check, they don't wanna talk about it much lol.

It's so hard for me to keep up with America's enemies, after muslims I thought the bad guys were Russians once more, but so we're back to Nazis? America will always have a hard on for Nazis I guess.

The first one sucked. The second one was great.

SPOILER ALERT:

I like how they featured quicksilver and scarlett witch at the end of winter soldier. Does that mean X-men might get pulled into the avengers universe, since we are entering mutant territory with those two?

quicksilver, scarlet witch, ant man, spiderman and wolverine are usually part of the avengers. Although Quick and scarlet are Magnetos kids not some experiment usually. X-men is owned by fox so it probably won't show up in avengers but spider man might.

Hey, regarding the Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch Issue. Marvel Studios and Fox both own the rights to these characters, but Marvel can't make any reference to them being mutants and the children of Magneto. So I would expect a different back story for them being introduced throughout the Marvel films.

You realize that Captain America was created during WWII, right?

There's actually a Soviet villain also, but considering that's the origin of the entire character and neither of those groups even exist anymore, I fail to see the need to turn this into another cultural critique thread.

Sometimes bad guys in comic book action movies can just be bad guys.

Quick silver and Scarlet witch will be in the Avengers 2 .

Dunno how Joss Whedon made it happen but, they can be in the film.

Saw it this weekend, it's definitely up there with some of the best Marvel movies of all time, and comic books movies in general.

Seems like Marvel is moving ahead nicely with the Avengers side of things (minus Iron Man 3, which was brutal).

Hopefully the new X-men will be good, the last one (First Class) really made up for the latest Wolverine let downs.

On the D.C. side of things, they're introducing more characters into each other's stories (i.e. upcoming Batman/Superman, some of Batman's villains and the Flash showing up in the TV series "Arrow") so it'd be good if they could do a JLA movie similar to the Avengers.

This was the first movie I watched in a while and it was F'in amazing. I'm wasn't big into comics and I've enjoyed a lot of the Marvel movies so far, but this is as good as Avengers. Entertaining as shit.

Red skull was eventually known as a a Nazi and Captain America was made in 1941, probably as propaganda for the US. I'm surprised the winter soldier was considered an evil Russian. Although relation with russia have soured recently so I guess that's why it was okay to use him as a villian.

I know quick silver (kick ass dude who got a 40 year old women pregnant) and scarlet witch (the olsens twins sister) are in the new avengers movie. Just wish they could tie them into Magneto, would be a fun relationship thing they could do.

Winter Soldier and The Avengers were both pretty good, but Blade is still the best Marvel movie.
