I just got a Paul Smith seer-sucker sportscoat (tad too tight tho) second hand.

I've seen some wonderful suits/ sportscoat but can't justify the 2k+ price-tag.

I stepped into a Zegna XXX Couture sportscoat the other day. It felt like silk pajamas. Price tag - 4k. It was 40% off, but thats still a cool 2.4k.

I tried on a light Grey Canali Exclusive, until I realized it was 2800. Fml.

I just need to make 100k/month then Ill go HAM @ the store. Its truly unaffordable for anybody else. God forbid you get somebodys flicked ash. I'd murder them.

I know how you feel. I just got a custom made navy suit and I'm scared to death to wear it after spending so much on it, the most I've ever spent on an article of clothing.

@MrXY- That suit is the shit. I have a tailor sourcing fabrics for a two piece in that colour.

@Laner- Maybe Ill have a big month and hit you up!. =).

I have a couple suits in the higher range, but I feel most comfortable in a 400-600 suit. Fabric is nice, but not luxurious. I can sit on the sidewalk and smoke a cig no problems.

Fuck me, I ripped my Canali pants on the corner of a table (fucking modern restaurants!) and was pissed for the whole day. $350+tax up in smoke.

It looks almost tweed effect. It looks great none the less but I don't think it'd be worn that much. Kind of a waste of money when I could buy something more versatile for less.

I've amassed a collection of suits over the past few years (I'm short so they're really difficult to find off the rack). So when I do I find one I buy it instantly. One jacket looks very similar to this one except it is medium blue. 2 out of the 3 suits I bought in 2014 had been blue. The two extra jackets I bought had also been blue (all different shades). From the pea cocking cobalt blue through to a very dark blue.

When it comes to the tail I have a preference for two slits over one or no slits. Now instead of spontaneously buying because it fit well it now has to have two slits at the back.

I approve.

I have a couple Hawaiian shirts picked up there and had them tailored. That fabric really does a good job in allowing the slightest breeze inside.

I wear them with cotton trousers and a pair of Superga white kicks. Extra button undone to show off my patch.

And all women hate Hawaiian shirts. For that reason I like it.

Agreed, the fit is key. I personally would not wear this more than 10 miles away from a sunny beach. I saw a lot of hipster types rocking this style of tropical wear last summer so I'm a little adverse to it anyhow.

At Christmas I was visiting family in the rockies and it was -25 Celsius and I was a shirt, jacket (single breast) and overcoat (double breast) and it was fine. I am Canadian though so anything warmer than -5 would be a recipe for damp clothes.

My English buddy wears tweed and a wool cardigan at +10 and seems fine though. I am a bit jealous of guys who can layer.

I think it's a double-breasted wool overcoat over a double-breasted suit coat, but I guess it could be a suit coat over a suit coat which seems kind of bizarre. Anyway, I think tweed is great for winter clothes. I would try to buy more of it if it wasn't so expensive. I think a Brooks Brothers tweed jacket is $500-$600. I figure I could probably just get a made-to-order tweed coat for a little more than that. I bought a pair of Japanese brand tweed pants last year for $150 and they're my favorite pair of winter pants.

Anyway, I guess it's time to break out the sneakers and light chinos since the weather is now getting above 20C.

I think it's safe to assume it is an over coat. It looks a little thicker than his suit jacket.

The Khaki suit is killer for this time of year especially when combined with a chambray shirt

It's cherry blossom week in Japan and I was dismayed to find I didn't have any pink, white/green pocket squares. I'll definitely have one for next year.

Although I like a lot of these long sleeve outfits, I don't think most of these suits, pants and blazers is realistic in most summer environments during the day. I could rock them once it hits night.

For shoes I have the usual boat shoes and a pair of bucks. Also, I have a pair of the tan colored version of these for shoes. They are pretty versatile for when it's hot and I get complimented on them often.
