That thread title is a bit dangerous, but I couldn't come up with a better one. Here are my thoughts.

After reading, absorbing, and acting on all of the knowledge I've read, it appears to me that game is really about treating women like humans. The natural tendency of a man who can't get women is to pedestalize them and act like someone else when talking to them. This is highly enforced by the modern day "chivalry" that men are supposed to take part in, while ignoring the faults of the women to whom they are being chivalrous.

However, consider how the same man would act when told that he must converse with another man. There is none of this awkwardness. Perhaps a bit of polite formality at first, but quickly two men can decide whether they enjoy the other's company and choose to continue or forgo the discussion. There is no real awkwardness on the level you see when a neophyte to game talks with women for the first time.

It appears that game is really about knocking down this disparity. By treating your interactions with women as something to be enjoyed without any embarrassment, and, if the stars are right, enjoying each other's mutual company (read: fucking), you've essentially begun treating an interaction with women as similar to that of an interaction with other men. You're goal-oriented and will not continue the discussion if it is not somehow beneficial (either conversationally enjoyable or leading toward a swoop).

As a small example, I would take "negging", as defined by the classic Mystery method. Negging is often seen viewed as some sort of douchebag trick, but it's really nothing more than teasing. Sure, a bunch of social idiots starting on their game path may overdo it and cross over to insulting. However, I view negging as similar to what you'd do to a male friend if he started acting cocky. It's almost organic. Imagine a male friend starts acting big-headed in a group. Everyone starts giving him shit in a jovial way and (assuming he's not a douchebag) he laughs and simmers down. If he's a douche and gets offended, you'd probably stop talking to him, right? Same with how you should treat women. If a woman is so high on herself that she cannot handle a bit of teasing, you should blow her off.

TL;DR - Gaming is the study of learning to treat women as humans, and not as goddesses.

I think your post is on the right track (de-pedestalization) but I disagree with the title. Depends on which men you are talking about and how you grew up. Guy friends who know each other well and tease each other? Sure. But If you were brought up to be basically polite and agreeable when interacting with strangers in everyday life then I would say no. Attraction is in the push as they say. Otherwise you come off as someone with no backbone and/or boring. You can get away with saying things to girls, which they actually like, which you would not say to a guy who you just met, because you wouldn't want to get their back up.

Also, part of the feminist mythology is that girls are just no different than boys but with different private parts. This is clearly not the case, and they also have different mating strategies. If women were exactly like men you could just use reason and logic when interacting with them...but that's a guaranteed attraction killer.

I think I may not have presented myself precisely enough.

In the case that you are attempting to create attraction, I would compare that to making make friends. I argue that, especially in a bar setting, fucking around and creating a good-times vibe is more important than being logical and using reason.

I would agree that the strategy you use when talking to men and women is completely different, but that's only because you're attempting to extract completely different outcomes from the two interactions...unless you're a "pansexual"

It's dangerous alright, because it's flat out wrong. A more accurate title would be, "learning to be a man and how to interact with women"

If the stars are right? You're writing like a woman writing about male/female interactions. Yes there are aspects of talking to women that are like talking to men, but they are VASTLY different in so many other ways as to not really compare.

Nope. Not treating women as princesses is just a small part of game. Now that you've taken them off the pedestal you learn how to attract them, understand how they view the world, learn how their bodies work, figure out that they actually are turned on by other women being attracted to you, etc...

There is a ton to game and it's not just taking them off the pedestal or talking to them like men.

I don't know. I see a lot of my peers in college treating women like guys and it follows (of course) that they are LJBF:ed. I've found that it's optimal to treat women like your little sister's bratty little friend, that you want to fuck.. Teasing, playing around, creating a good vibe are what shows that they're off the pedestal and that you're comfortable with them, but I think what gets them is that 'hook', the sexual tension. That's my problem area currently.

What helps me very much in depedestalization and aloofness is having something (fun) else to do beside talk to her. You, your goal(s) and your interest at the moment should go first. She is a companion in your quest, not you in her quest. Don't go out of your way for a woman and she's yours. After you bang her then you can make some exceptions.

I don't necessarily agree with the idea that in order to fuck a girl it's best to treat her like a man.

By far, the most effective thing I have found is to keep your life as the number one priority. Focus on your health, how you make your money, your interests and your hobbies. You need to look after yourself and do whatever you can to maximise your value.

The girl needs to know that you are a high value male, and that she is lucky to be able to be a part of your life.

I get what you're trying to do OP. Most guys i rag on take my teasing in stride. Most chicks i tease break down and blush. I do this type of game in social circles i'm familiar in. For a SNL pick up, i would expand on this because it is lacking in directness. I know because this type of game isn't as effective as i'd like in a bar/club atmosphere.
