A woman started a campaign to stop the horrible practice of McDonalds giving toys based on a kid's gender. Sadly, her campaign worked and McDonalds has changed their policy.

If I was a kid and found a girl toy in my happy meal, I wouldn't think it was cool.

I'd be furious, and I'd stop buying happy meals, because, as everyone knows, little boys hate girly things! Maybe they can socialized to like them, but most little boys want to play with action figures.

I had a strong disposition towards action when I very young, like four or five.

I used to watch the Dukes of Hazard all the time. My grandpa came once and said "You like the action! The action!"

A rich, privileged law professor at Yale. A cursory look at his Twitter and Google search turns up a guy who wrote this in The Yale Law Journal. Here is the title:

Overall, we find that heterosexuals displayed heightened and statistically significant associational aversion toward versatile characters and, to a lesser degree, toward bottom characters, relative to respondents’ willingness to associate with top characters. We elaborate why heterosexuals seem to display systematically less associational aversion toward those men whose penetrative preference is most consistent with gender stereotypes. Based on those results, we revisit the notion, adopted by many courts, that Price Waterhouse sex-stereotyping doctrine cannot apply to sexuality claims because it would turn sexual orientation into a protected class after Congress has opted not to do so. Our results suggest that gender-motivated homophobia is not uniformly targeted toward all gay men or uniformly present among all who discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. We also further consider why respondents were most averse to versatility, drawing a potential distinction between “trait opposition” and “trait intermediacy” gender violations. Finally, we discuss the implications of our findings for the broader LGBT movement in law and society.

This man has thoroughly indoctrinated this poor girl. What eleven year-old so doggedly pursues such an insignificant issue for years? He clearly is a poor father that probably is a typical arrogant, haughty professor. She idolizes him in a way that suggests he has forced her to worship him and his ideological ideas. She is nothing but a pawn. Since homie wasn't born a woman and the privilege of being a woman talking about issues affecting women, she is nothing but an object to further his delusions about men and women. His life: Please, oh please I'm one of the good guys! only to jettison any female that affords him her approval.

Odds are, he was a wheyfaced nerd who got picked on constantly by more masculine boys. He developed a complex about these boys would become men, who also turned into the men women wanted to fuck. In order to slake his thirst for power born out of an inferiority complex, he pretended everything around him was a social construct, a fictive sorcery cast by the patriarchy to confound men like him from achieving their dreams.

He found out he was smart and rode that dog and pony show all the way to editor of the Yale Law Review and onto being a top professor at Yale. It never is enough for these types and once he realized he had a daughter on the way, he knew in his heart of sick hearts he finally had his ace of spades, the ultimate weapon in the so-called gender wars: a woman, a girl he could mold.

She is being praised roundly for being a role model, such a young ambassador for change that girls can mold themselves after. Yep, there's your female progress, your feminist triumph: a girl who after ordering a Happy Meal at too old an age running back to the all-important Daddy figure, "Daddy, daddy I did it! I am challenging McDonald's policy on gendered toys! Aren't you so proud I am standing up for all women?"

Since there already were check box options to select either boy's toy or girl's toy, the simplest and most sane solution would be simply to add a third check box selecting a random toy. That would be done if the goals of society were liberty and freedom of choice.

But this liberal movement is all about eliminating freedoms, choices in the name of gray uniformity, including gender uniformity. Sad and pathetic.

On the other side - you shouldn't eat and bring children to McDonalds anyway.

Ok, well I'm glad McDonalds does this. I recently bought one of these Happy meals and they are offering My Little Ponies and some other boy cartoon toys. My daughter loves the ponies and has no interest in the battle octopus or whatever else they have. This person wants to infringe on my daughters preference for ponies and is therefore a misogynist. Why can't she have a choice?

Furthermore, most of the employees serving the food and toys are under represented minorities. Therefore this girl is also racist because she's alleging they are discriminating against her when having more defined gender roles is a part of their culture. Or is she saying these employees don't understand or are not following McDonalds' policies? How dare she say such things when they have less educational opportunities. They are trying to make ends meet in a difficult job and here is this white child of privilege complaining about what words they use? The classism is incredible. Maybe this high school girl, who's father is a professor at the nation's top law school, should check her rich white privilege and spend some time in these people's shoes.

This is interesting.

If sexuality is sexualized in monkey society, does that make it naturally occurring as opposed to what "feminists" say- that gender is all artifice and created by human society?

Is there like a patriarchy keeping the female monkeys from becoming more like the men?

Wouldn't that make the whole patriarchy thing nature based and instinctual?

Imagine a future where, through genetic modifications, a species wide push towards androgyny in humans takes place.

This manifests in a new type of genitalia shared by all. It would be able function as both a dick and a pussy. It would be like Hydra dick that can do everything. What would this hydra dick look like?

That or they would modify everyone to have both a penis and a vagina.

Some people could be born with a penis on top of the vagina, and other is would be the reverse.. they would both fuck and be fucked by each other. A new gender binary would arise: "are you a upper or a lower?" is how people would identify themselves.

So obviously there's zero percent chance that this is what happened:

1. They approach the cashier, ask to exchange the girl's toy for a boys. The cashier looks in the bin and sees there are no boys toys left and informs them of that fact. The brave Social Justice Warriors run off to fetch a man to do their crusading for them.

2. After the SJW's leave the store, the cashier immediately informs the manager they're out of boys toys at the front counter. The manager runs into the back, gets a fresh crate of boys toys, brings it up front and refills them.

3. Big bad adult male comes into the store, demanding a boys toy, and since they just restocked them he immediately gets one. Cue SJW teeth gnashing at male privilege and the goddamn Patriarchy.

I'm even willing to bet that these SJW's did this little experiment during a busy as hell lunch or supper hour as well, when the cashiers are swamped with fifty different people who all have their own problems. They're dealing with senile old people trying to use coupons from 1994, scammers trying to say they found toenails in their burgers in order to get money or a free meal, legitimate complaints involving under cooked fries or burgers, assholes who act like they've never been to McDonalds before and refuse to accept the fact that they can't order a Whopper, people complaining their coffee's too hot and their Ice Latte is too cold, etc.

Like other people have already said, it's more worrying that these 'concerned' parents are letting their kids eat McDonalds in the first place. These shitty, shitty people need to get a hobby.
