I'd say the Arab lines, or SE Asian have the best stewardesses, and I think a lot of that has to do with lack of labour laws.

I was reading one of those in flight magazines for an Indonesian Airline, and there was an ad for stewardesses, Basically the requirements were be under 21, female, pretty, and speak english. I also can't really picture strong unions there caring about seniority, so once you get used up not sure what happens.

100% agree, couple of girls i've seen to recently were 'flight attendants' and they are very sexual and submissive. Far more than the average girl.
I have always called them air hostess's and they always correct me, something about it no longer being pc. Whatever the fuck that means.

Also totally agree on the status symbol effect over other girls, they flaunt it for validation. Unfortunately it's getting far too easy for a girl to get that validation as recruitment standards are sliding fast.
For me (not old enough for the golden age of flying when it used to be cigars and whisky in dinner suits) Virgin Atlantic back in the day (90's) used to be the best; they only recruited white, skinny and pretty girls so you could always rely on eye candy and some gaming opportunities when crossing the Atlantic. Now.. not so much.
