Does anybody else on here have long eyelashes? People from time to time notice them (especially when I wear contacts). Is there a way to minimize them, or should I not be so self conscious?

haha. Yes I do. Its funny I've never talked to anyone about this before. When I was young I remember waking up and somehow like pulling them out a notch every couple of days for a bit. Kinda weird right...

Anyway, people used to comment on them, but I haven't heard anything for a while now so I kind of just forgot about it. I really haven't looked into ways to minimize them--although I thought about cutting them once, but never did. I don't wear contacts so I don't know what that's like. I'd say just forget about them and don't appear bothered by a comment about them -- it's not like it's going to hurt you in any way.

From my point of view, and I think a lot will agree on that, having long eyelashes is something to be happy about. Actually everyone who doesn't have them wants to have them. I think peope who make stupid comments about that are just jealous.

At least I always get compliments about my extremely long ones.

I personally don't find it as much of manly attribute. I'd rather have just average length lashes.

I have very long eyelashes and chicks love them when they notice them in bed. It never occurred to me to be self conscious about them. I wear glasses most of the time so people don't notice them in general. I'm hoping to get used to contacts; I prefer glasses for convenience, but I can't deny I look better without them.

Who cares what someone else says? I have naturally great (freaking annoying) hair, and if someone commented that it made me look gay or something I'd just laugh at them.

I have alway gotten compliments on my eyelashes. Women love long eyelashes.

^^ Same here. I've never seen my long eyelashes as a detriment to my masculinity. But, if you think they are they will be.

I have very long eyelashes. Girls tend to really like them. Especially Japanese girls.

Thanks to all for your perspective. I've been using my eyelashes as an excuse to not keep getting contact lenses. For the past year or so I've been mixing things up in the self improvement department, and getting contacts (something I've put off for years, mainly b/c once in my teens I spent like 4 hours putting them in) and giving up my glasses (which I felt like were such an important part of my persona that getting rid of them would be a betrayal) has been a major change I've had to fight my ego and self doubt to implement.

A lot of women like feminine-esque features on a man's face. Long eyelashes, or bright distinct eyes or plump lips seem to be a turn on. Behaving like a man and having a solid masculine physique satisfy their cravings for masculine traits. As long as you don't look like a fag, any natural "pretty" features on your grill usually help when it comes to physical attraction. Speaking from personal experience.

I have incredibly long and full eyelashes. Girls love them because it makes them jealous (not even kidding that they are still more pronounced than most girls' after they apply makeup).

I don't see an issue with them because apparently it is a desirable attribute.
