We all know what the result will be, that is never in doubt.
I don't think staying is even a option on the ballot, despite all the polling I have seen that even among ethnic Russians the majority want the country to stay intact. That is why international observers are barred as they will probably try to stuff the ballot boxes. LOL

Here in Quebec they have a separatist political party and people can vote from them. The PQ as they are called, have come to power several times but could never win a referendum to leave the country.

That's how you deal with people's aspirations to leave if they want to.... not through a barrel of a gun.
