I don't think that it has ever happened once during the last couple of years that I went out and I never got the comment "oh, you sound exactly like *****" who is a famous comedian. It has also happened that two girls in a row only minutes apart told me the same line.

The girls seem to like it and if I feel chatty I tell them about how a group of youths were absolutely confident that I was his brother and started to take idol pictures with me (which is a true story).

I figured that there must be a much better way to use the "sound-a-like" to my advantage?

How do you "sound like" him?

Is your voice similar to his?

Are your mannerisms and humour like his?

I suppose that my accent, intonation and perhaps voice are similar.

I do appreciate his humour although considering that he is a comedian I guess he has more of a funny personality.

People consistently tell me that I have look alike. When I get comments I just reply along the lines of "Thanks. I get it a lot, but it's always good to hear." Then I shift the conversation to something else.

Next time I hear the "you sound exactly like him" line I will reply by telling a joke and see how it goes.
