Just got accepted to med school, which starts in a month. Until now, the farthest I've gotten is a drunken make out in college.

I want to start gaming now, but it would take a lot of time and energy to game during med school in my city. Instead, I could use that time to study and possibly double my eventual salary with a good specialty ($125k vs 250k). If I want to get a good specialty, I'm positive it would be a 10+ hour per day grind of going to class, making study sheets and studying.

So the question I have is whether I should start to game now or start in a few years after my future is more secure?

While I would recommend putting in more active effort, just keeping the red pill and game in mind (with some critical analysis after each experienced or observed interaction with a woman) can and will get you a long way. As the saying goes, "A fool learns from his mistakes, a smart man learns from others' mistakes."

just because you're in med school doesnt mean you can not game. I have plenty of friends in med school/have been in med school yeah the first two years suck but 3rd year lightens up and 4th years a ton of partying. people still party in med school, people still want to have fun, chicks still want to get stuffed

I'd say focus on yourself and use the resources in this community to make yourself the best man you can be. Don't just disregard game, but don't make #1 chasing around women. In reality, a lot of game is about showing value and having confidence / almost seeming disinterested. Seems to me those things will be a lot easier while your focus is gaining value, growing confidence, and genuinely being somewhat disinterested. My 2 cents.

make sure to get some saline IV's for the weekends when you go out. that's how my friends did it. also modafinil is your friend. Also game nurses but keep n the lookout for that socially awkward internist hottie looking for her MD/MRS. they are out there.

Worst thing you can do is start with pre-conceived notions and excuses when it comes to personal growth.

Keep in mind med school is not the only area with long hours, there's plenty of young guys working in finance doing even more who don't have the luxury you do when it comes to choosing where to study, when, etc.

You have to incorporate game into your lifestyle, it sounds like you expect it to be difficult to block off time for game, but I would argue many successful guys don't have that option to begin with.

Grocery store, library, bank, cafeteria, etc. the list is endless when you think about all the activities and daily routines you still have to complete outside of studying and class.

If you work on building up interactions in all those aspects, you'll also feel more confident when you get the odd chance to hit a bar/club or schedule a date.

Game is what makes you go above average in life. And that lifestyle for now includes your med school but in the future will include your practice as an MD. It also just happens to include girls.

You don't just "Stop" gaming. Believe me when I say that you will need game to get excellent performance out of yourself whether it's grades, your boards or a l residency. Again, not just girls.

So are you going to be substandard instead in all those components? I don't think you should.

As you excel through school with game and show your prowess, girls will be open to your gaming and you will feel more confident to game them. I don't need to explain that girls are everywhere in med school.

I'm just saying don't cut yourself short. You have the choice of making it all encompassing. It's not all about studying.

It's as much a state of mind as physical actions.

What it certainly isn't imho is chasing women 24/7.

So you're going to be studying
- every night
- every weekend
- every holiday
- every waking chance you get

Assuming that you're 21, you'll be 25 when Med School is over. After that residency.

And I'm guessing you're going to be up for drinking late nights and then doing a 3 18 hour shifts in a row...?

You'll hit 29 with one vague memory of a drunken make out session, making 250 gross (maybe 170 net), with 400K of debt (3200 a month payment?), and the desire to take some of those funds and treat yourself to a nice place and car.

Is that the life you really want?

You want to look back on your 20's, when you were young and strong and could take over the world, when you were surrounded by women in the flower of their lives....And say, Man, I got a 98 in Organic Chemistry...I was the best person in my Anatomy class.....My radiology professor is super right with me?

Kicking back at some 4 star eatery, with some gold digging 26 year old, who's a little too sweet, as she plays you like a fiddle.

Wondering about those cute chicks that used to be tee heeing at Starbucks, or the one hot chick in your program who isn't betrothed...and how you could get into her pants....or if you'd only learn game, you could smooth out the issues with the woman who runs your floor as well as the nurses?

Yeah, dude, game in 4 years. It's a no brainer.

As someone who has finished 4 years of medical school, I can tell you that the perspective you have ingrained in your head is an utterly false dichotomy.

Yes, med school is hard and often time-consuming. You will likely have to study a lot more than you ever have in your life. Sometimes you will have so much studying to do (mostly when exams are coming up) that you won't be able to go out at night, schedule dates, do stuff with your friends, and so on.

The good news is that this will not be all the time. If you get good at time management and get a consistent study schedule that you follow every day, you will definitely be able to go out the majority of weekends. If you're really good at it, you can go out on weeknights too (my school provided video recordings of all the morning lectures).

The idea that you're going to be so dedicated to studying that you literally won't have time for anything else is laughable--almost nobody has the ability to concentrate well enough to study productively for 12 hours every single day, and even if you tried I'm sure you'd get so burned out that it would end up being counterproductive. The challenge is summoning the willpower to not dick around during the time that you really do need to be studying in order to free up the time you need for getting poon and other social activities.

I should add that you definitely ought to be pursuing girls aggressively now, since med school gets harder before it gets easier again. Your 3rd year will be by far the busiest because you'll have a lot of studying to do in addition to having clinical responsibilities (although some rotations are chill and you can slack off a little during these). I had 4 girls in rotation at one point during 1st year, which would have been out of the question during 3rd year. 4th year is great though, you have a few tough rotations (which are still easier than 3rd year) but people mostly just stop giving a fuck and drink all the time while they apply to residency programs.

Another thing I'd advise is to try to go abroad the summer after your first year. It's the last summer you'll ever get off and a great chance to go get laid in foreign countries on the school's dime under the pretense of "research" or "global health experience." My summer program after 1st year was awesome and I went out all the time and did almost no work--PM me if you're interested in the details.

If you take nothing else from this post: learn time management and you will not have a problem. Plenty of people have very active social lives during med school and get into great residency programs. Thinking that you're just gonna put a hold on getting any pussy ever for the next 4 years is not a reasonable attitude to have.

Treat medical school like a full-time job (albeit a demanding one). People who have full-time jobs (most of us) game.

Go out there and game now. And use your status as a medical student to your advantage.

If you're not experienced at game I would not advise this. In my experience being a med student is not considered particularly high status, or in any case does not get the pussy wet. Being able to talk passionately about it and having funny, interesting stories can be effective, but I'd still work on developing other interesting things about yourself that you can talk about with girls. Even after 4 years of this shit, I still do better talking about travel or music than anything medicine-related--it just makes for more fun, relatable conversation for your average chick.
