Someone mentioned Midtown was pretty good. Saw a dope condo for 150/night on AirBNB.

I'll be there during the weekend and already got 2 bitches ready to fuck.

Well anyways back in this thread now that I've racked up a lot of experience with this city. General trends I've noticed.

In terms of day game there's a few spots that are always popping in town and I'm there regularly enough that I can't mention them but wouldn't mind sharing over PM. Cute girls by the dozens coming by no matter what.

Night game is problematic. If I were in town in the short term I would scout music events as those always have good ratios. This city is slowly turning into a more show or festival oriented city. Shows sponsored by a certain promotion group(willing to share over PM I'm too invested in the scene to give exact names publicly) have some of the best ratios I've seen by far.

On clubs. For some reason there's always one club that is popping per night in that city with the ratios being top notch and through the roof while every other venue sucks. Sometimes it's Numbers sometimes it's VAO(usually your best bet most nights if you're from out of town) sometimes it's the reopened Kryptonite. It's always just one club, lounge, or bar that has the best ratios. One of the few times having party sluts on snapchat is useful to scout out locations.

The city is changing and nightlife is changing. I think a lot of the older info in this thread might not be useful anymore if you're looking for 18-23 year old chicks.

priceline 4 star hotels on weekends in houston galleria or downtown are usually cheap, like 79 or so. see the express deals.

I live in Houston. The commercial space and multi-family has been built up much more than single family homes IMO.

The bust is coming for sure.

When Forbes Magazine rated Houston as one of the coolest places to live......

Then people move here from all over the US.

Then RE cranes pop up everywhere....All signs that the bust is not far behind.

In the 80's S&L made most of the housing loans and kept many of them on their books. This is why so many of them failed. Leverage + Bad Loans = bk. lol .

This time around many of the loans have been packaged into MBS and other securities then sold off to investors. Also the loans are spread more to nationwide banks...with less TX specific exposure.

As Warren B says.....when the tide goes out we will see who is naked.
When the dust settles its going to be ugly. We just don't know exactly how bad yet and who is holding the risk.

The entire world is F'ed not just Houston. After a few years there will be yet another boom period.

The bigger issue is the debt super cycle is over globally and a big fat D is probably not far off.

Is the Montrose/Midtown area still a solid location for day/nightgame? I'll be trying to snag a 1B apartment in Houston within the next few months. This thread has had some awesome information, but I know that Houston is changing quickly with people moving in and out of the city.

I was also thinking that with the Oil industry being kind of shaky at the moment, a one year apartment lease with decent game logistics shouldn't be too expensive.

Housing in Houston has gone up in recent years. It's not the bargain it once was. The oil industry has not yet done it's full shake out yet so prices don't reflect the current economic situation.

I think WestIndianArchie described the midtown housing scene in a previous thread. I think we're all waiting for douchebags to pack and leave so things can "normalise".

I briefly tried my hand at the Midtown scene on V-day weekend, no dice there but then again I logged in only 2-3 hours before going home. It does seem bit douchey. I dressed sharply, with chinos, button down, and a sport jacket... and got rebuffed even before I could finish my opening line. Every time. So much for the easiest day of the year to pull.

If you're looking at good old school night game spots. The best places are on Washington Avenue in the Heights.

Just dress sharp as it's slightly less cliquey and the attitudes are easier to deal with. Midtown girls are all attitude with sometimes none of the looks.

If you're insistent on partying in Midtown better know which night which place will be going good. It's fairly random usually though.

What's wrong with the douchebags there (I'm genuinely asking)? Are you guys talking about like pissed off, hostile guys in their own social circles? Guys who try to start shit? Or, are we talking about white knights?

I'd rather be surrounded by douchebags who dgaf rather than deal with white knights any day.

When I lived in the Midwest I would dress exactly as you did (chinos, button down and jacket). I loved that style. But, coming back to TX, I don't think that style flies nearly as well in the younger scenes.

I appreciate the tip. I'll start to scout Washington Ave in the Heights. I like less cliquey crowds, so that sounds promising.

The douchebags who live in Midtown are the kind of guys who drive 80mph down Westheimer(one of the tightest roads in the city) in their Corvettes, Bentleys, or Beamers usually crashing them there too. You usually won't have to deal with them out on the town as even though they live in a good area they always head up to the really upscale places in the Heights.

Only time you see them around Midtown is at certain venues and certain events. Midtown isn't a bad place to party if you know where you're going, but that comes with building a circle. Otherwise the main issue with the place is that it's cliquey as all get out. There are usually no loners at the bar or duos of girls.

I have to now say with 100% certainty that Tornado Burger has the best burgers and phillies I have ever had in the States. Today I've had everything on the menu ever since I started going there every once in a while for the past two years.

Absolutely phenomenal and I recommend anyone who visits here to go have it. Shit I'll go with you. Local is always better.
