I really do prefer it though; my dick doesn't give off as much funk if I don't shower for a couple days and girls are more willing to put their mouth on it.

According to The National Center for Health Statistics, 64% of newborn boys in the USA get a circumcision. Although I was one of them, I probably won't make my son have one if I ever have one. I figure natural selection put it there for a reason?

Indeed there is tremendous rationalisation going on. It's psychologically very painful to admit that you have lost a valuable part of your genitalia and that your lifelong sexual experience has been altered for the worse. And in society as a whole, to admit that it is child abuse is unthinkable. Yet I have come to the conclusion that both those statements are true.

For the circumcised reading this thread, there is hope: foreskin restoration through gradual stretching of the skin causing new growth is possible. Although the nerve endings are gone forever, the other benefits can be regained - the resensitisation of the glans due to it regaining cover, and the gliding/wrapping sensation of the skin during intercourse. I'm currently partway through the process and already experiencing some undeniable physical and psychological benefits.

My dad told the doctor at the hospital where I was born that if he touched my foreskin he'd fucking kill him.

But I remember when I was teenager I would agonize over being uncut because I thought girls would think its weird. I even asked to get circumcised but thank god my dad prevented that stupidity.

Fast forward to 28 year old Vincent. I've had a lot of sex with a lot if chicks and I've never once heard a word of complaint about my wang. Neither the look or hygiene. In fact, I get compliments on it.

The foreskin is there for a reason. Mother Nature know wtf she's doing much better than a bunch of religious crackpots bent on mutilating their children as homage to god. Even the appendix and pineal glands, once thought to be useless vestiges have been found to have functions even if they're not entirely clear. Again, nature is very, very smart.

Hygiene: If you wash your dick it'll be clean, foreskin or no foreskin. You don't see people sewing their anuses shut because it would exonerate the owners of having to wash their booty holes and claiming it's superior.

This whole circumcision business is a ritualized stupidity with no ostensible benefit. It doesn't even serve the purpose of a tribal rite of passage because the 'participant' is just a newborn.

It's justified by how widespread the stupidity is and how long the stupidity has been practiced. Because it's old, it's good. Because a bunch of people blindly do it, it's ok. This is a proof of mankind's psychological sleep.

I would hope that the intelligent people of the world would stop this idiotic practice but history has proven it foolish to hope for people to stop doing pointless, harmful things to themselves and each other.

Only for medical reasons, which is why I had the procedure done myself when I was young. It put an immediate end to a problem I was having, so I have no complaints about it, apart from the fact that it was sore for a couple of weeks afterwards. The fact that I think it looks better and that it's easier to keep clean is a bonus.

But circumcision for any other reason is fucking stupid.
