It's my first time abroad for an extended amount of time with game knowledge.

Im originally american so you definitely feel the difference in the girls once your in another country. By the way im a young guy, 20 years of age if thats of any help.

Since I don't have much experience gaming out of my homeland I would like to know some basic does and don'ts, tips and knowledge about gaming abroad especially when it comes to more conservative girls in second tier cities (Im in Mexico). Although I would also like this thread not to be country specific but general basic knowledge for gaming in other countries. But knowledge from the country im from would be much appreciated also.

I've been reading Poosy Paradise and it seems to be helpful and I can relate and really extract the game knowledge from it.

It would be nice to hear what other guys have to say when it comes to calibrating your game in a different country with the native girls.

Pick up a few books on the local culture of the place you're going.

If you can find specific books about dating, that would be a plus too because they'll more likely give it straight in that department (still read the general culture ones though). Relationship books targeted at foreigner/local couples, for instance, may not seem like what you're looking for, but they'll offer a wealth of knowledge on what to expect in interactions with the opposite sex there.

Here's a general tip, I guess. Bring blank pieces of paper or flashcards on dates with you. If things stall out, pull them out and ask her to teach you five new words in her language. You can make another one any time you guys come across a new word.

Just a good way to banter when there's a language barrier.

In fact, now that I think of it, this might be a good way to break the ice with a random girl when out in the day-time (in a coffee shop, etc). Hmmm...

In a nutshell, keep it simple. Forget about trying to be clever with your words. Clever verbal 'gaming' is to make you stand out from the rest of the guys in your local area. When you're overseas, generally you already stand out as a foreigner, so you're unique enough. Just make sure you're a decent looking foreigner, not a scruffy fat one (although I've seen one of those guys pickup too).

When chasing girls in a foreign country, I stick to the basics of:
- Having or knowing a place to take them to. This is number 1. Have this or know this within 24hrs of arriving in a city. It should be in a reasonably central location. Know what transportation methods are the best to use to move around and to get back to this place with. In low cost countries, you will have your own room. In high cost countries, there is always some form of 'love hotel' industry. Know where they are.
- Approach and talk to them (through all the usual avenues). 'Hello! <smile>' is the universal opener. No odd 'lines' need be spoken. If they are cold or seem like they will waste my time, I move on. If they are warm, we get to know each other with whatever language abilities are available.
- Touch her, or take note of her touching you. Keep it subtle (small hand holds, small hand on back of waist touches, knee-to-knee touching, etc). If she is comfortable with any kind of ongoing touching (and not just being polite), and especially if she is initiating it, you are 'sexually agreeable' to her. If not, you're probably wasting your time with her.
- Get her to come with you. You can suggest 'going for a walk' together, you can suggest 'going somewhere private' to 'watch TV' (never ever mention 'the elephant in the room'), or back to yours or hers to 'have another drink' or 'watch a movie'. She will generally resist this with all sorts of excuses and reasons, but always persist whilst she is still warm to you. Think up any way you can to disarm the excuses. Friends are the biggest problem (except on dates), as always, but if you persist, and the girl is clearly warm to you, often the friends start disappearing. Be patient.
- When you are alone together, all girls are the same. Take it slowly and persist.
-- * If it is impossible for her to do so, get contact details and try and get a date later. Then on the date, rinse and repeat.

Yes, most of this is generic. But that is kind of my point - this is the same in every country. Except logistics - do your research.

This i'm becoming aware of fast. Things that are considered "beta" or counterproductive in the US are typically not a big deal here you can be more 'genuine' I feel.

Yea I can see how this can help, however I am culturally the same as the natives its just the fact that I was born and raised in the US.

This holds truth, as I mentioned earlier since im culturally the same as the people and kind of fit in with the locals the only way I can find the way to be "unique" is by dressing and looking well, better than the average guy and by dropping hints of english and showing my fluency in it. I don't like to share the fact that im American right off the bat but by simply dropping some good english ill intrigue girls and they will ask themselves, but as far as being exotic or unique I feel that this is what helps me the most at least for me specifically right now. Also since im very fluent in the local language it's hard not to do the "clever verbal gaming" but a little bit of that plus her discovering my good english and American citinzenship kinda puts me on a nice track and its enough to distinguish myself from the rest or most of them I believe.

-Be good looking (dress well, take care of your skin.. everything you have control over)
-Be NICE
-Open
-Escalate
-Did I mention to be nice and not an asshole?
-Good logistics
-Express interest in her culture and country

These are the things I find to be the essence of getting laid in foreign countries. Essentially it's about initiating, escalating, being nice, and being good looking to the best of your ability.

Edit: I'm not sure how to explain this better, but have an "American charm" to you. Be different than local guys but in a cool way.

You can't use clever jokes anymore because half the time they won't get it. I also believe body language is king in the WEST, but even more so in other countries because communication is a lot of times a problem. But you want to be more normal outside of the west in relationships. Not so overconfident/being a dick

Learn how to greet them in their language beforehand. I noticed complimenting in foreign languages like 'beautiful girl' (deveshka krasotka) for Russians lets say and random compliments which I will haphazardly bust out when they're not expecting, just to fuck with them. It always has a positive effect.

Was that beta?

For dates and daygame (only just starting to get my feet wet with the latter, but it definitely seems like the way forward for me as bars and clubs don't hold a great deal of attraction for me anymore at 37) I still feel so reliant on my wit and fairly strong conversational skills, that I've invariably ended up going out with almost exclusively girls who speak English very well in the year and a half I've lived here in Bulgaria.
And most of them have had enough exposure to (possible pun intended) foreign cultures that they quickly pick up on my frequent deadpan humour and occasional mild sarcasm. A girl I went out with last week actually referred to it as "British humour" (I'm Danish, but there are some similarities in that department).

I'm starting to kick myself in the ass to make a bigger effort to learn Bulgarian past the rudimentary level (I plan on staying here for the foreseeable future), because as much as I actually enjoy some witty banter on a date, I sometimes get a little tired of dating only well educated women here.
