Freshman During Orientation
I was wondering if anyone had any experience hitting on freshman during orientation? The early weeks of the semester are easy but when they are being herded around in groups it's much tougher.

This might help. Didn't read all of it.

It's a good thead and source of information but I've read it in the past and nobody seems to have a good solution for the point made of smaller universities where girls group up.

if everyone knows everyone then work the social circle. Throw the dopiest parties. You're a freshman, so if you can get access to alcohol and a lot of it then you're the man. Hit up a cool upperclassman to help you out or get a fake.

You have the easiest openers and excuses to talk to any girls. "So what will you study?" then start gaming her, making jokes, teasing etc.

RE: Freshman During Orientation
You just hit a goldmine. It depends on your school (you mention you go to a smaller school), but my guess is that there are still plenty of girls who are the only ones from their high schools who are going to this college. Even if it seems like groups have already formed, they are NOT as tight knit as it seems - I just graduated, so I saw this process happen in front of me 4 straight times. So, everybody is anxious to meet. Basically, the fact that you're looking at this forum already puts you ahead of most guys. Just approach girls with the most basic openers ("What are you studying?", "Where are you from?", etc), and then try to get a plethora of digits. Don't come off too sexually early because it might be perceived as creepy, send the vibe that you're a chill guy just trying to meet people (which is what you are!). Orientation is literally created for this reason.

Then, you want to make a connection at a frat or any sort of alcohol, so that when the parents leave and the girls are trying to find a party, you have the hookups to a party or something fun to do. That will immediately lift you high up in their book! College is all about connections - if you invite 4 different girls to drink at your dorm/apartment, they'll each come with a friend or three, and just like that you have 12 girls to choose from. I definitely wish I discovered this forum my freshman year!

In the future you shouldn't aim to just collect numbers (I'm sure you know this though...), but from my experience during orientation week it is the way to go to pipeline for the next few nights.

I did when I was in college. As long as you can get *relevant* laughs you're usually good-to-go. Just follow-up with some playful game and you're all-set.

RE: Freshman During Orientation
Should I just walk around on campus to meet people? I'm in classes that don't contain any freshman. Side note, I'm a senior.

RE: Freshman During Orientation
Definitely. Walk around and casually introduce yourself with a funny opener (ie: "you look lost around here" to an obvious freshman girl). Remember, even though as a senior you may feel awkward hitting on freshman, they have an underlying respect for you. If you play it right it will not be seen as wierd.

Its usually pretty easy to get a good conversation going with freshmen. Ask about dorm life, parties, classes, first impressions, etc, and then tell them some funny stories. Endless conversation topics!
