I just wanted to know if it happens to you guys, too. To me, it happens with almost all of the notches I have added on FB at some point. After I pull my "ghost" move, they unfriend me a few weeks later. Keep in mind that most of these girls were not purely ONSs, but girls that I have actually gone on dates with and banged at least a couple times each.

I don't really care as far as the girl is concerned - if I pull the ghost move it's not like I'm willing to see her again, but I'm curious as to why they actually do it.

Is it an emotional move because they're hurt?

Is it an attention seeking move so that you contact her again?

Or is it done to protect her reputation because she doesn't want your friends to see that you are friends with her there, and eventually question how do you know each other?

I don't actually add them, it's them who add me. They usually do it to check for social proof before I go on a date with. These are mostly girls I meet online or at the club - I roll solo a lot of the time.

In fact, that's the only reason I still have a FB account. I could care less about that shit.

Could be many things but I don't think it matters. I cant see much good with having a bunch of girls that you fucked as your friends on FB. Most of the girls I fuck don't even add me to Facebook and the ones that do search me up and try to add me I rarely will add them.

I mainly use Facebook as a way to add future couchsurfing hosts/surfers to make sure they aren't totally crazy and it's a good way to stalk girls from Tinder.

I've had similar experiences with the Instagram unfollow. It's quite a possibility that she doesn't want reminders of you in their life on a daily basis. But I believe most girls actually want to know what goes on in the lives of the guys they have sex with. They might try to show that they're over you by being the one to delete first, she wants you to feel unimportant. You're anything but because girls never unfollow their unimportant associates because they simply don't care. They just think you'll feel a little bad about yourself if they unfollow you, they are now the one denying you. It works in their heads because they think you care.. I sometimes don't notice until months later.
Most of these girls will still keep up with you through other means, like a friends account. I've had it happen that friends of girls I've hooked up with accidentally like and unlike pictures of me that are weeks and months old. They still want to keep up with you.

What's weird about that? If I got used* by a girl, I'd certainly unfriend her and cut off all contact.

Why do you even care of pay attention if you ghosted on them anyway? If they either don't want see you again or dont think you'll contact them again whats the point of keeping you on their friends list.

Just to give you a heads up, putting girls your pumping and dumping on your facebook list is probably one of the stupidest things you could ever do. I never had facebook period for this very reason. YOu piss a girl off and now she has access to contact your other chicks, your sister, your mom, etc.

DOn't put it past a pissed off chick to send your mom a pm telling you what a pig she raised or something like that. WOmen can be vindictive man.

Yup, I explained already why they add me on FB. They want to see if I have pics with friends doing social stuff - i.e. social proof. If I ignore the request, they may get suspicious and flake on a first date, considering I met them online or solo at the club (zero social proof). Keep in mind these are mostly relationship minded girls, not the typical slutty club skank.

Good point about the access to family info though. Might as well filter out the pics I have with family on FB.

It has it's upsides/useful features. Depending on your own priorities, it may be a negative or a positive thing for you. Why decide it's bad for everyone just because you don't find value in it?

There's nothing more hilarious than getting rejected / put-down / insulted / un-friended / etc. by some girl you already slammed. Sometimes I even troll 'em a little bit at the end, and share their final texts with my friends. It's cute how they all read about the same

Something similar happened to me once. I met up with a girl I'd only spoken to online briefly, went to a concert, we went back to hers and I nailed her. She deleted me sometime later. She said we didn't "have that much in common" (when actually we kindof DID) and that "you don't speak to me enough" (when actually she was always hidden in "offline" mode, so how was I to know? I typically only bother messaging people that are online and are going to reply). It was pretty lame. Mind you, I was also still pretty lame at the time so it messed me up a little bit. It was such a cowardly dick move.

Perhaps a bit off topic here, but "social proof" in most Brazilian cities as you're alluding too pertains mostly to "trust" and "mutual comfort" as in the case of Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, etc (Tier 2 cities).

"Social proof" in Sao Paulo is however above the mutual comfort zone and pertains mostly to superficial friendships & "which important person does this guy know" & "what can he do for me?"
I remember some people at Panorama Lounge in Sampa asking me who I knew perhaps being familiar with him/her. I mentioned *Shotgun*(insert real name), but they didn't know the guy, haha

Least that was the impression I got from my short travels in Brazil.

Well, I am mostly alluding to trust and mutual comfort when I mentioned "social proof". Although this "who do you know" thing is very present in social circle-ridden venues here- mostly high end parties. Most rich girls I have banged were usually worried about that. But the middle class girls just want to make sure you're not a psycho with no real friends before meeting up. Or they fear being scammed and robbed, considering it's not that uncommon here. There are safety issues in a developing country after all.

That's why I take with a grain of salt all these comments saying "you're crazy to add these girls on FB". I'm sure it's different in the western world.

Btw, Brosemite, how come these people didn't know me? I'm very famous in town.

Yeah same thing can potentially happen here too in the US. Guy seduces girl...then another guy from "behind the scenes" steals a purse or jacket. That's one example...though I get what you mean about safety being very important.

Do indeed take the "criticism" with a grain of salt because they're mainly referring to situations in the US.
