Spiteful Waitress And Rush Limbaugh
Waitress Says Rush Limbaugh Tipped Her $1,000 on Two Occasions; Here’s What She Did Just to Spite Him

Quote:Merritt Tierce, a former waitress turned author used to work at “Nick & Sams” restaurant in Dallas, Texas.

She claims she served Rush Limbaugh and Al Michaels twice and both times Limbaugh gave her extremely generous tips of $1,000 on modestly priced meals.

Tierce says it felt like “blood money” so she refused to keep all of it.

Instead, she claims she donated a “sizable chunk” of the $2,000 tip to the TEA Fund, a Texas abortion charity. Tierce was also the executive director of the organization.

In a recent interview with the Dallas Morning News, she recalled the two occasions where she served Limbaugh and Al Michaels and Rush left her the massive $1,000 tips.

She said that giving the money to the abortion group “felt like laundering the money in a good way. He’s such an obvious target for any feminist or sane person. It was really bizarre to me that he gave me $2,000, and he’s evil incarnate in some ways,” she told the paper.

First, if the tips she got from “evil incarnate” Rush Limbaugh were “blood money” why did she keep any of it at all? How much “blood money” that comes directly from “evil incarnate” is it acceptable to keep?

Second, this is clearly a ploy to help sell books. Tierce just released a novel that includes stories that take place in a high-end Dallas steakhouse. The story about Rush Limbaugh is not in the book.

It’s sad that this woman would repay Rush’s extremely generous gifts with an attempt to smear him to sell a few books.

With modern women all good deeds are an opportunity to attention whore, and get free publicity for their blogs.

Can we please start a These Hoes Ain't Loyal thread?

RE: Spiteful Waitress And Rush Limbaugh
He's talked on his show about how he is really generous with his tips, because he knows waiters don't make much, and he doesn't want to be the famous person who stiffs them.

I don't see what this woman is complaining about. It's narcissism. There are probably unscrupulous characters who come in and order a steak, but she doesn't write about them because they aren't public figures and won't help sell her books. It's not about taking money from bad people, it's about what other people will think if you take money from unpopular people.

For a woman from Texas that is a bad move. She better move to a SWPL location quickly.

RE: Spiteful Waitress And Rush Limbaugh
I'm not a Rush Limbaugh fan whatsoever. I disagree with most of his views and tactics, but he's hardly "evil incarnate".

The book-selling/attention whoring aside, simply put he was being extremely generous, then she basically turns around and spits in his face.

She could've given it to breast cancer research, a homeless shelter, a veterans group…practically anything most people would consider a worthy cause. Instead, she purposefully donates the money to a cause she knew he'd vehemently oppose. Money he had very generously given her.

What a cunt.

RE: Spiteful Waitress And Rush Limbaugh
Trash!!! Can't stand this shit. Whether she agrees with rush or not that was a kind thing to do. Rush makes good money, he knows wait staff often make very low wages and are reliant on tips, he does something generous and she wants to make a spectacle of it, waste the money to spite him, yet funny as some point out she kept "some" of the blood money. Either its blood money or its not, you can't keep some.

Makes me wanna troll her sites and leave her bad book reviews lol but she's not even worth my time or the attention.

Also, lets get real, whether you agree with rush or not it's not like he's clubbing baby seals for his money, he has a talk show where he talks about politics which may not be in line with your views.

I don't mean to offend anyone if anyone on here is liberal but it always seems liberals are the ones who do these stunts and bitch and moan about every little thing. Take the $1,000, take it for what it is a nice gesture and shut the fuck up, if you wanna donate it go ahead and do so but don't make a spectacle of your donation.

What would this chick have said if Rush asked her if she was liberal or conservative before offering the tip. He didn't give a shit, she offered good service apparently so he rewarded her for it. Shameful and maybe stops the next single mother waitress from receiving such a tip so that women in a way is probably fucking over the next women. great.

She probably didn't donate a fucking dime. This is all just bullshit posturing to try an get a little fame for her undoubtedly stupid book. Trying to find a way to cash in by riding the coat tales of a public figure (or tug on them).

Cunt.

She probably took more money from more fervent anti-abortion people than Rush, just because she was working in Texas, over ten times the amount he gave her from that one tip. Her hamster won't let her see that though.

I'm not a fan of Rush Limbaugh, but I think more highly of him now thanks to her revelation. Making him a sympathetic figure is hard to do, but she managed it.

Like a lot of you, I've never liked Rush Limbaugh but many of his statements--especially from earlier in his career--have proven to have been ahead of their time.

For example:

Quote:"Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of American life."

Was he wrong?

Eh... Austin has always been a liberal SWPL bastion in Texas for a long time. It's close to the German parts of Texas which historically have been liberal for a long time. For example the Germans did not participate in Southern slavery. The University of Texas is in the center of Austin. It's just a college/party town. It's full of Asians as well. Houston, Harris County more specifically, is definitely changing very liberal, hence our gay mayor. Most conservatives live outside the Houston city limits leaving the blacks and liberals to control the center. Inner city Dallas has a little bit of that as well. They still cannot out breed the conservative people state wide. Alot more of them would have to come over than the amount that has.

All the Michigan, New York, New Jersey, and Florida transplants are probably equalized by the number of conservative Louisiana transplants here. Not all of those people are liberals either, like the Floridians and Michigan folks.

Nashville on the other hand is a place I have noticed Chinese people going to. I have also seen good IT jobs being offered lately. What can you tell us about Nashville? What's going on over there?

RE: Spiteful Waitress And Rush Limbaugh
I don't agree with Limbaugh, but I read an article on him in the NY Times (the paper or magazine), or maybe the New Yorker a few years back.

He went out to eat with the writer of the article. The writer insisted on picking up the tab.

The writer later revealed he fucked over the service staff, as Limbaugh often leaves tips up to $5,000.

Few work as hard or as smart as Limbaugh. Haters gonna hate.

Here's the article. It's an inspirational read, regardless of your politics: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/06/magazi...d=all&_r=0

Quote:Dinner was winding down, and I called for the check. It tickled Limbaugh to be taken out to eat on The New York Times. A few weeks later, he sent me a copy of an interview with Jeremy Sullivan, a waiter at the Kobe KobeClub in New York. Sullivan told a reporter that Limbaugh, a fellow Missourian, was the biggest tipper in town: “He likes to throw down the most massive tips I’ve ever seen. The last few times his tips have been $5,000.” When I read this, I felt a stab of guilt toward the hyperattentive staff at Trevini. If I had only known, I would have let Limbaugh leave the tip.

I find it funny so many here feel the need to say, "I don't agree with Limbaugh, but..."

Man coined the term Feminazi and was dropping red pill truths before AOL was a thing.

You think you don't agree with him because you've only heard second hand news articles about his biggest troll jobs.

Would you think you agreed with someone like Matt Forney if you only read what other people wrote about him but never actually listened to his work firsthand?

To be fair, I don't agree on everything, but I don't agree with ANY writer or speaker on EVERYTHING. When it comes to gender politics he's been years ahead of his time. The man built an empire on his voice. No guests. No interview. Just him talking for THREE HOURS a day. Think about that. And then his enemies come through and cherry pick the most controversial statements from 15 hours a week of content and that's the image everyone has of him.

I can tell you that Nashville is probably the best kept secret in the country. Low cost of living, great quality of life, and TONS of attractive women in spite of being smack dab in the middle of obesity land. I was pretty floored when I was out there for a year.

I used to work as a lifeguard during the summers.

This was like 10 years ago, when listening to the radio was still a thing.

I'd listen to lots of Rush and Hannity. I did not agree with them, mostly, but it was provocative and honestly I only had so many CDs...

I can say full and well the man is largely an idiot. I have probably listened to over 100 of his programs in full. I remember one time, a called called in, saying "Rush, did you hear what they're trying to do? They're trying to take garlic out of Italian food!" Rush, without missing a beat, is like "That's what these liberals are always trying to do..."

Turned out it was some chef from Italy who just didn't like garlic and stopped cooking with it, saying it was a "vulgar" flavor from Italy's poor past, and that they could use more "refined" tastes now. Rush was sure it was a liberal conspiracy, just one chef's opinion.

I remember another time, Bush was getting rid of mandatory overtime pay in some way right before the 2004 election. People were calling in saying "Rush I love your show, I'm a lifelong conservative, but my family needs that overtime pay, my wife and I both work long hours and that overtime pay is the only way we can make ends meet" Even people working in his studio with him were saying, yeah, if it weren't for our overtime, I don't know how I could survive. His response was "Now, you don't want to become a one-issue voter here, take the big picture into account".

Now, that's not to say he's 100% wrong on everything, but if you listen to his show, you'll find him saying a lot more stupid shit than he says smart shit. Of course, he can easily point out a liberal hypocrisy, and then go on to defend conservative hypocrisy without batting an eye. He's a provocateur more than he is an actual voice of truth or reason.

Sonsowey's analysis is spot-on. A lot of Limbaugh's "wisdom" is that even-a-broken-clock-is-right-twice-a-day type of wisdom. Dude has said a lot of really dumb shit in between.

That said, here's another one of his rare gems. On Hillary Clinton becoming president:

Quote:"Will Americans want to watch a woman get older before their eyes on a daily basis?"

Limbaugh was calling out Wall Victims before the RVF. Laugh

RE: Spiteful Waitress And Rush Limbaugh
Rush tapped into a niche. In the late 1980's/early 90's, when he became a real force on the radio, there was no:

1) Fox News (or any conservative TV commentary)
2) Non-liberal talk radio...talk radio back then was mostly NPR
3) Internet, with all of its divergent opinions

So you had this pent-up demand of Reagan-era conservatives, with literally NO outlet for their views other than National Review and other conservative magazines. Kinda hard to imagine today, where every view is indulged on the internet. You basically had 4 news channels - CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN. Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, and Bernard Shaw. All well left of center.

And so this big fat goofball with an entertaining manner walked right in and filled the void. Today, he'd be just another blogger with a "please donate" button.

I remember all the liberals back in the day, when conservatives would complain about the liberal bias on those 4 networks, would say "Well if you don't like it, why don't you start your OWN network??" So of course Rupert Murdoch started Fox, and those same liberals are howling about it ever since. Hey he was just following your advice...
