Since reading this forum and others, it seems clear that women associate money with a provider. Meaning they don't get tingles for such a person but see him as a sap for marrying later on, when they're done having fun.

I look back and cringe at how I sabotaged relationships with plates; girls I met at the club, or through a friend. We'd meet in a setting where I was at least somewhat alpha. We'd hook up a few times. And then I had the genius idea that offering to buy them dinner and movie tickets, etc. was going to seal the deal because everyone says "Oh, chicks go crazy for a guy with money" only to lose whatever attraction I built up. Then, they'd drift away. With one girl, she seemed so repulsed I paid for dinner, she was dialing another guy while we had drinks afterwards.

I guess it's better figuring things out late rather than never but still I can't believe what bad advice I got and I guess most men get without PUA/red pill.

OnEdit: To be fair, I was doing other stuff wrong as well; but I did notice they lost interest more so when I would offer to pay for dinner, etc.

I actually disagree with the forum's general consensus on buying meals and drinks etc for women.

It does depend, though, on your age I think.

To me, it's just part and parcel of being a 30 ish year old man…at my age we only want young girls…I would never expect a college student or minimum waged entry level employed girl to be picking up half the tab.

Thing is, being a man also means being sexually aggressive and escalating virtually non stop physically.

Yeah - it all depends on your age and the status you have naturally.

I liked RawDogger's articles on ROK where he plays little games with girls. Being a successful lawyer, he pays of course, but he lets the check lay there and waits to see how the girl reacts. Some women truly start sweating a bit and even take out their purses until he stops them and pays it. It all depends on frame control. I really gotta try that on some date. (Though I don't do dinner dates any more....)

And of course that depends on how far along the attraction process you are. Offering a girl to pay for a drink or more without being certain of her involvement in you is just counterproductive. There are many methods on how to go around this.

Girls nowadays will sometimes pay for a round at the club if they are into you - even if they have obviously way less money than you. Inviting her for a date is different, but also depends on the country you are in.

Money alone does not create attraction - money coupled with a strong Alpha frame and "promises" of an exciting life - very much so.

"First round's on me" really has worked well. Buying a round on a date is not really a major expense. Not a fuck will I buy food for her/us until after sex or we're dating. Even then, I only date women with a job, and in the spirit of gender equality I let them split the bill with me.

I couldn't agree more....at 35 and my current main girl at 22 and the job I have......I pretty much pay for everything.

She will still pick up the tab here and there.

Yep I'm no fan of being seen as "the guy with money" anymore. Before I'd pay for dates and being 27 unless she is 18 and in uni she has an income. Even here they get student allowances.

At the end of the day if your date is whining or showing off the new clothes she bought then going Dutch on a date is where you should be heading. It's even more fun hearing them brag about buying stuff then hearing them switch to whining they have to pay for their share. A great article on ROK about how women are cheapskates sums it up well. At the stage I'm at - I find it a real turnoff if a girl expects/demands I pay for the date.

As with every rule in game, it's not the action itself but the intention and mindset that counts. Roosh buy drinks for girl sometimes as said in Bang but he does it because it speeds up the bang, not because he wants to impress the girl.

When in doubt, check your intentions and HER intention. Maybe you do really feel good that day and wanna buy a round, but you sense that the girl is not respecting or paying attention to you, don't bother.

Never buy girls drinks to impress them. I went out once with my crew and this beta guy paid for the girl's drink when she's not there. When she discovered that she was pretty pissed. Girls might be attention whore or gold diggers but usually they disgust betas and they don't wanna owe them anything.

As always: depends, depends, depends.

I'm late twenties in a financial profession, I live in Mexico, I go out with girls below 25 that study, live with their parents and sometimes work in something "not as demanding".

For me taking care of the check is expected and does not damage me, sometimes my top girl pays the drinks and then we go to have some wild sex.

Of course I have never done the "let me pay you a drink" line at the club or bar, too needy. Just calibrate and assess the situation.

I'm in Eastern Europe. Most girls I date are students and sometimes barely have money to cover their next rent. I don't see any bad in paying for a nice dinner out, for drinks or for the cinema tickets, IF she has banged me before. In fact, it will skyrocket my value even further. What I look out for, are the girls who insist on at least paying the dessert, or coffee, or snacks at the cinema. Even if sometimes the cost will be 10% of what I paid, it shows me that she cares and is making an effort. My ex never paid anything, or took me anywhere. When the current girls I am seeing started paying for smaller stuff and actually taking me out, it blew my mind away.

It'd be really really weird if I would not. After all, I'm a quite successful foreigner and my apartment and the cars kind of show that. I don't bring any of that up when meeting a girl at a club, however, they are OK sharing me (and I share them too, I suppose) due to the fact that I am not just another loser.

Everything that's been said so far is relevant and is a case-by-case on the girls attitude. If buying things like her drink or meal is appreciated and she's into you there is probably no harm in it. Since where I am the women here are entitled and hence wouldn't appreciate much in the first place - it isnt smart to go playing into that.

I used to think so too but you live and you learn. Girls asking for you to buy a drink in the clubs is something i avoid at all costs. I have been tricked in my drunken state to buying drinks and by doing that suddenly have the girls take of.

It's funny, we all discuss what to do if a chick asks us to buy a drink but I'm not sure I've ever once had a girl ask me to buy her a drink. I've had girls offer to buy me drinks more often than the other way around.

I think if you are already fucking there is nothing wrong with buying some drinks. You will look stupid if after spending thousands on clothes and drinks she doesnt fuck you. Plus I believe she will fuck someone for free so she wont feel like a whore.

Is there such a thing as an alpha provider? The Sopranos was full of alpha thugs who bought rings, houses and clubs for their goomahs.
