Venue change or stick it out?
Some nights I go out Ill occasionally find myself in the predicament of deciding either to leave to another bar when the current vibe or ratio is lame or to have patience and give it time.

This matter becomes all the more challenging when its already past 12am and line ups are packed at other bars/clubs.

Have you guys found a correlation (if it exists at all) between having more success in sticking it out in one specific place until a new cylce of women comes through, or venue change is almost always the way to go when the current bar you are in isnt happening?

12 am and the club is dead?

If you're not there for the music, Bounce.

It might get packed after you leave.
The next spot might be dead as well.
But keeping the momentum going helps you keep the "party vibe".

Answers to this question will inevitably be based on where you live. Chicago, NY? 12 isn't that late. LA? Almost closing time. Personally if I'm not having a good time, I leave, but you have to know your environment. If you know when the club/bar normally fills up you will have the knowledge to make an educated decision. I'm old enough that I only will go to a club if its going to be fun, regardless of the girls there. I also won't sit there in a line with the plebs to go to a mediocre place, then going to more mediocre places and waiting in line again. Too many cool bars out there that you don't have to put with with that type of bullshit.

If you run into this often I would start to reevaluate the places you are going. Branch out, try something new. At the least you will know good alternatives when you aren't having fun.

Short answer to your question though, I wouldn't stick around & hope it gets better, unless I know that I am there earlier than the prime time.

Fact is, places will be the place for hot women for a little while, and then lose their luster. For as long as a place is that place, you should stay there, figure out the rules and how best to maneuver there, and understand that sometimes the tide ebbs...

RE: Venue change or stick it out?
For me it depends on a variety of factors:
1. Do I have a good place at the bar where I am? Sometimes it's just timing; if you have pole position, with a lot of traffic, it's simply a matter of time before a cute girl comes along.
2. Will I get into other places I want to go at that time of night? If you're going solo, getting into high-end venues (or places with long lines) might be problematic if it's past midnight.
3. How much effort/distance I have to go to change venues. As I'm getting older, I have less energy to go across town to a bar that might have a cute girl.

RE: Venue change or stick it out?
I've got to point, where if I have a clue about a venue, I make a judgement right away, maybe order one drink, wait it out that long, then split if no decent talent is there.

Sometimes the ideal time is when a normally hoppin venue is running crippled for the night. Those few 1-3 prospects you see are sometimes more approachable without the giant crowds. I've had success with that.

But many times lately, I'll walk in, sometimes just stand there, scan the room, and fuckin leave. Fuck wasting time and money on a bunk joint.

I remember a night where I was solo, went to 5 places, driving to each.. had a drink at #1 & #3, and wound up finally at #5 to find a short petite girl who I had to put in work to shake free from her fat friend right at close. #2 & #4 I walked in and stayed long enough to piss and left, and I almost gave up on a 5th bar but pushed through and drove the furthest to check it out.

I once read a line:"Success in life can be measured by the amount of times you force yourself to do something you didn't want to do or think would work."

RE: Venue change or stick it out?
Sometimes if I'm at a dead place, I will stay if the staff are being cool to me. Comping me drinks, engaging me in good conversation, treating me like the king of the room. In that case, if any groups of women come in later, you're golden because the staff will try to help hook you up. The problem is, in most cities the bars close at 2 a.m., which puts time pressure on you to go where the action is. If you're in a place like New Orleans or a non-US country where the bars or clubs stay open until they decide to close and you're getting along well with the staff and there are lines everywhere else, I would say to seriously consider staying where you're at and riding it out.
