I have already been reading the forum religiously for quite a while. Just lookking for total newbie exercises like going into clothing stores and talking to the girl working , stuff like that.

First thing you need to do is overcome your approach anxiety. If you haven't done that, I have a program you can use.

If you are comfortable enough to talk to girls and just want to get a feel for it, I suggest going to a more open environment. Then make one assumption about a girl based on what you see after delivering your opener.

If she has an accent, comment on that first and guess where she's from.

If not say:

"You know what I noticed about you? ____, I bet you're ____ and a pretty big dork about it too."

There was a pain period for me where my first few dozen approaches in daygame failed miserably. Getting comfortable with rejection and losing all ego (while maintaining self esteem). Approach often, mix up what you say and how you say it. There's a wealth of knowledge on the forum, take it with you into the field.

Bro, That's just straight weird. Buy you a pack a cigarets or a cigar , go to a bar this weekend, stand outside in the smoking area, and when a girl stands beside you look at her and say, "What's up with you?" Then just bullshit with her and give her your phone and tell her to push in her number. You'll know if she is down to fuck really soon, so you might even take her home. I would never walk around a mall smiling and saying hello to everyone, unless I was trying to give away bibles or something. Nice guys do not get laid. They make friends. Assholes get laid.

OK good But that's just supposed to be the start. You should push every interaction as far as it will go. Don't just say hello then walk away, say hello and stay until she does (if she does).

Imagine a line: Hello + Smile at one end, and your dick going into the girl is at the other. Your job during the courtship process, as the guy, is to move the interaction through all the steps in between.

You guessed right, the next step is a flowing conversation. The purpose of the conversation is for you to get to know each other, for two reasons: to build rapport (which is lead by you asking her questions), and to demonstrate attractive traits (which comes from the way you talk, what you talk about etc). Imagine a conversation as starting as a single point, and growing outwards in the shape of a 2D cloud. The bigger that cloud, the more rapport you have created, and the more you have expressed yourself. Talking about a single topic deeply, stretches the cloud thinly in one direction, and talking about many different things superficially expands the cloud a little bit in every direction. Maximum efficiency comes from the mid-point of these two types of conversation.

If you have difficulty maintaining a conversation, you need to practice these two things: making lines of conversation deeper (e.g. by asking why? type questions), or having more points to make the conversation broader (can be done initially by actually listing a bunch of questions, such as questions about what they do for fun, about their family, about whether they read, about what they like to watch etc). If a deep line of conversation starts to peter out, you then open up the next broadening question, push it deep, and repeat the process.
