So I just got this text from an unknown number on a Saturday night. Smells like a spam bot, but whoever wrote this had the right idea. It's nice and short, generic enough for a mass text, maybe a little too-romantic, but I am ok with that. What do you think?

If you're a girl this works, but I think it's gay if you're a guy. Why would a good player be so invested in the place you met some chick who is in the "mass text" bin. I do see your point. I could see you saying something like, "let's meet up at the bar where we met." That comes across as aloof and casual.
I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.
