"Decreases risk of prostate cancer" = Decreases testosterone
Just an observation.
I often see people defending things like hot baths, masturbation, and certain foods with the fact that they reduce the risk of prostate cancer.
Or vice versa, slamming foods and practices that increase the risk of prostate cancer.

But while researching nutrition, I noticed that almost everything androgenic increased that risk.
Similarly, almost everything estrogenic I researched was discouraged as a risk of breast or cervical cancer.

So, connecting the dots...
Cancer is malign cell growth.
Sexual hormones increase cell growth in the relevant areas - e.g. high E leads to gyno in men.
So guess what?
Puberty increases your risk of prostate cancer.
Being a hormonally healthy man increases your risk of male specific cancers.
I'll take that risk.

All cancers are psychosomatic. You only make it easier to happen by treating your body badly, that's all.

I'm defending testosterone, which is by implication being called a health risk,
and which is being dismissed as a positive good by people with messed up priorities.
Not many on this forum, but I thought the flipside of the prostate argument needed addressing.

In other words - lets jump the nutritionists and masturbators.

The idea that you are dealing with is something I've considered in a different context. I used to be all about salads, organic vegetables and low amounts of meat - all about increasing health an longevity. But then one day I realized how feminine and skinny I was becoming and realized that a shorter masculine life would be better than a long feminized one. I eat hamburgers and steak whenever I want, and however much I want now.

When I stopped masturbating regularly, I got scared that my prostate would suffer. I've seen studies that regular orgasms significantly reduce the chance of cancer. Then I realized, I don't care - I don't want to stay hungry.

Basically, the truth is men have a shorter life span for a reason. But we all think it's worth it.

You have to balance both. I find more than 2 days of nofap for me doesn't yield much benefit in terms of T levels spiking. You can feel the higher T because you will feel more aggressive which may possibly register to some guys as being quicker to get irritated or frustrated.

Meat is fine, you just need adequate fiber to flush the remains out so it doesn't ferment too long in your colon and you need to take antioxidants or adaptogens that reduce C-reactive protein absorption.

The key is simply balance and moderation. If you take a high dose of something make sure to counteract it with a high dose of the opposite. For example if you increase your Vitamin D you need to increase the other fat solubles because they all work syngergistically. Being too high in one and too low in another causes imbalances in homeostasis. It also depends on your biochemistry. If you are sensitive to uppers but can function fine on sedatives then you may need a higher dose of sedatives than other people.

Just because you have high T doesn't mean you will get prostate cancer. It's when T devolves into DHT or other secondary metabolites I believe that causes the prostate cancer. The Free T itself will not directly cause the cancer. So if you want to maintain high T levels you merely need to pair that with compounds that block the conversion of free T into pro-inflammatory compounds. Anabolic Men has a full list of these herbs/foods that help in this regard.

Remember, nature has provided us with most if not ALL the tools we need to live a healthy balanced life. You just have to listen to your body, develop a sensitivity for how it communicates it's status to you and more importantly experiment. Be open minded yet methodical and accurate in your experimentation with different foods and herbs.

the 5-year survival rate after diagnosis for prostate cancer is 100%, the 15-year survival rate is over 90%. The average age of diagnosis is 66 years old. Most men diagnosed have other morbid disorders that they die from instead of the cancer. Most men don't even experience any symptoms. In other words, I would not stress about getting prostate cancer as the odds are in your favor.

RE: "Decreases risk of prostate cancer" = Decreases testosterone
There are a lot of people questioning whether testosterone is so closely tied to prostate cancer anyhow.

And a growing number of experts say the risk of dying from it is so low, the tests so unreliable, and the treatment so harmful that even blanket screening is a sham. I wouldn't worry about prostate cancer too much.

Just take care of your body as much as possible - the science on everything is so up in the air that you'll drive yourself nuts trying to figure out exactly how that should be done.

Whenever I look at epidemiological studies relating to cancer, there seems to always be a relation between dairy/meat intake and cancer.
Puberty increases your chance of cancer, because it's a time of cell-growth, but that is why it is temporary. You don't suckle your mothers breast milk for your entire life, only during your growth phase.

I personally think there is no correlation between t-levels and cancer.

There are plenty of vegetables, Cabbage for one, that decrease the risk of prostate cancer.

Never heard anything saying cabbage lowers your testosterone.

So you've already chosen a fitting username, but what you're doing is trolling in my eyes.

RE: "Decreases risk of prostate cancer" = Decreases testosterone
I think that there is a close link between testosterone and prostate cancer, but not in the way most people assume.

Standard thinking states that high androgen's (testosterone) is the culprit behind prostate cancer.

If this was the case then wouldn't we be seeing the majority of prostate cancer cases occurring in 18-40 year olds, during their 'high androgen' years?

I actually think that it is low testosterone combined with high estrogen and high dht that are the biggest (hormonal) contributing factors to prostate problems.

Keep your testosterone & dht at a healthy high level.

Keep your estradiol low.

Take supplements to keep the dht and estradiol out of the prostate and for general prostate health.

Things like DIM, pygeum bark, nettle root and zinc.

I'm not going to include saw palmetto because quite a few guys report erection problems with that extract, everyone is different though.

Saw palmetto tea and liquid extract also taste like absolute shit and make your breath smell like Gondwana. I have taken some very bad tasting supplements but Saw Palmetto really takes the cake.

This would imply a link to HGH (more so than test)

I believe there is a theoretical link between hgh and cancer.

It doesn't increase the risk of cancer per se, but it can help already existing cancer cells multiply faster. That's what I can gather from my reading of hgh and it's actions.
