Yes I know there are threads on this, but nothing on advice for newbies in this area, lets not turn this into another thread of whether online is good or not.

I'm giving POF a try for the second time, I got a couple decent pictures and could do with better ones but I'm working on getting some from a photographer friend, for other reasons as well as this.

Recently, I've been experimenting with some negative comments, for my own amusement and to test out whether that can work online.

It seems like my harshest messages have been getting a response, although, its been a struggle. I had a conversation with a girl I messaged with "your hipster taste in music sucks, let me show you some good bands" but it went bad because she was so fucking serious, she took all my jokes seriously, total bitch, maybe thats to be expected with dyed hair, dead eyes and 27 years old, so I let her know that and blocked her.

Again, some stupid message I sent and forgot about got a response, and shes still responding.. I tried to put a compliment in so she'd soften up a little bit but nah.. but the fact that shes still speaking to me, makes me think shes definitely intriuged, so I decided to post the conversation as its hilarious, and to see if any of you guys had an idea on what to say back.

I'm not really an idiot though, I just pretend to be to get a response and to liven up my day, my IQ is 300. I think you have a really nice smile.

so you think its a complete waste of time? I haven't got a smartphone for tinder or money to pay for ok cupid right now.

Did you read the OKCupid thread? Everything newbies need to know is in there.

OKCuupid is pretty much unheard of in the UK. It's all POF or Tinder.

You realize the POF thread started off as a newbie thread ?

There is a TON of great info in there.

Actually use that one and the Tinder Thread.

Cheers dude, I've found a lot of POF and Tinder threads, so I was confused.

I may post this in the shit test thread.. although I probably won't as it looks like it has 0.1% chance of going anywhere.

My only tip for starting things out is that things should be easy. Meaning if your hitting resistance from the beginning it wont pan out. To start with only chat up ppl who view your profile. View their profile but dont send them a message, then if they view yours, then send them a message. Push for watching a movie at your place, or her place. Start cuddling...then escalate to the bang. Meeting for drinks works, but it should only be for one drink, someplace close to her place or yours, and close from there. Women get bombarded by messages, even the uglier ones. Your going to be part of that group at least be cool about it. Most chicks on POF dont have a sense of humor, and the ones that do are so sick of people being douches to them that they arent in the mood. Like I said, during any part of the ordeal if you hit resistance it probably wont work out so dont spent much time trying to plow though it, move onto the next one, unless your in an area of low population density, then you can do a little plowing but not a lot.

Hey that sounds like good advice barn2barn, I might get back on it and try that method of viewing profiles and message the ones who view mine.

I actually downloaded an autoclicker and set it to click yes on the meet me section for an hour and ended up with 35 mutual matches, but all of the attractive ones were over 50 miles away! But I ended up with a lot more profile views.

I saw a profile a week ago which basically made me give up. An average looking girl wrote on her profile, that before she had even finished filling in her profile she had 40+ messages! Ugh, the thirst is real.

I had no idea my little area had so much competition. I'm now somewhat suprised any of my messages have been replied to at all, and it does make me feel a bit better now about my lack of success on it, but at the same time, with that amount of thirst for 5s, I've been put off using it now.

Yeah the competition for chicks on POF is insane. And to boot, most of the guys on POF are not single - they are married or have a gf. So single guys on POF really have their work cut out for them. What i've found is that the window of opportunity is really small. But that doesnt mean its impossible. Off the top of my head most of my online bangs have came off of Okcupid so far this year. Maybe 1 or 2 from POF. In a 30 mile radius of me there are probably about 225k people, 1 major university, 2 smaller ones, 4 or 5 tech colleges. I dont usually pull from them though. Also, get a moon tracker app for your phone, I tend to do better around full and new moon. Specially if one or both fall on a weekend.

Everything in the OKC and tinder threads applies to POF

One thing that is unique to POF is the age restrictions, you can only message women within a certain range.

I will explain how I get round this.

I have 2 profiles. One younger, so I'm able to increase the amount of women I reach. Both profiles are hidden so no one sees 2 identical profiles.

you will have to use different openers on the women, depending on age, social class, notch count, and their level of attractiveness vs yours. Using the same opener on everyone will fail.
