Twitter outrage over college statue shows how deep and fast society has changed
[Image: CFpJgJVWgAALNB0.jpg]

http://nytlive.nytimes.com/womeninthewor...n-twitter/

Here you see a statue from the early 1990s that stands on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. It is called "Friends" and depicts a normal conversation between classmates in the 1980s/90s between a young man and a young woman.

Innocent you say? Not so to the new generation of feminist SJW crazy mob:

https://twitter.com/SadDiego/status/601874324757282816

Quote:“The sculpture just screamed mansplaining,” Hernandez said in an email to Women in the World. She had to snap a photo of it, she said, but since she wasn’t allowed to bring electronic devices into the testing facility, she was forced to run back to her car to grab her smartphone.

And what does the local artist have to say who created the sculpture?

Quote:If the folks at UIW were dismayed to learn about the mansplaining interpretation, Paul Tadlock, the artist who sculpted the bronze piece almost a quarter-century ago, was mildly amused. Tadlock, 79, told Women in the World in a telephone interview, “That [sculpture] was [done] in the early 1990s when my daughter was a student at the University of the Incarnate Word. In fact, that’s her. I sculpted her.”

Tadlock is familiar with Twitter, but “not on it” and, until his conversation with Women in the World, had not been aware of the concept of mansplaining, a word that entered the lexicon sometime between 2008 and 2010. After learning about the concept, Tadlock agreed that the phenomenon is common.

“That’s generally the case. The ladies know more,” he said. “Because guys, young guys particularly, love to tell everything they know to impress the girls, and the truth is most of the girls know it already.”

However, Tadlock said that the mansplaining concept was not an intended meaning behind the sculpture.

“It was two students visiting, talking … implying nothing beyond that,” Tadlock insisted even when asked if he was possibly expressing the idea of mansplaining on a subconscious level.

No surprise - it was just two student talking.

But I know of course how those crazies tick. The statue shows a man in a healthy male body position and a woman at ease listening to him. She is relaxed and enjoys the conversation while she herself displays typical feminine body language.

The statue is less about "mansplaining" than about seeing normal behavior of men and women. The current SJW marxists don't like that. They either want to see the men harmless, inferior to women, weak or at least they want women to be as masculine or warrior-like as men. The funny thing is that when I saw the statue, I thought that it was created in the 1950s. Society has been social engineered so much from the 1990s, that normal inter-sexual behavior sparks outrage.

Recently feminists in France were also outraged by this statue commemorating D-Day:

Sexual harassment and rape it is of course.

What will spark outrage in 2040? Any depiction of a healthy masculine man?

Will they demand the removal of Atlas on Wallstreet because it depicts a muscular potentially threatening man?

They want to remove any image/statue/signs of healthy heterosexual relations within society.

But if it was robot fucking a goat while he was taking a selfie....that would be considered "progressive"

Twitter outrage over college statue shows how deep and fast society has changed
Quote:Twitter outrage

The more I see these posts, the more I'm convinced that you're never going to beat them at their own social media game. Basically, Twitter is being used as evidence that many people are offended, possibly because it's easy to create users through programs and create an appearance of a mob, or people can organize a mob easily, like people voting on these issues through the internet. Take someone like Soros and add some funding to it, and now you really have the appearance of a larger crowd.

I predict that social media, like it's presently being used, will become evidence to pass laws that none of us like in the long run. No amount of "We're the other side" will win against it because simply playing makes us lose. In a way, we should have never joined or spread things like Twitter.

Consider how many of these people who are "outraged" on Twitter do nothing in reality? A few of them are radicals in real life, yet most would never be as bold as they are on Twitter. This whole medium gives a fake impression and I don't see it being used for good in the long run. The gender gap myth is just an example of this; no matter how many refutations exist for it, Twitter has spread the myth like crazy. It does more harm than good and I would bet money that all social media will do the same.

Just my two cents; all these articles prove is that people should be shamed off social media.

Also, I should add that when someone does win a war against feminists on Twitter, like Protein World did, feminists then go off and find bureaucrats to "regulate" them to win (Protein World continues being awesome by moving into the USA, see this article by our man Paul Joseph Watson - http://www.infowars.com/protein-world-gi...minists/). One thing that psychologists have observed about women in general, consistent with what we see feminists doing, is that women generally are more aggressive if there is a barrier to protect them, which is why forcing them out in the open to be aggressive will limit what they do.

San Antonio in general is a pretty conservative area thankfully. This is just a very tiny minority who somehow gets their opinions published. When the fags tried to protest Chick Fil As here the city countered with insane lines at every Chick FilA to buy food.

RE: Twitter outrage over college statue shows how deep and fast society has changed
The cumulative effect of hashtag campaign after hashtag campaign is starting to alter how men think of women. And men are starting to think of women as instinctively hysterical and crazy.

Back when we all grew up, we didn't get to see this side of them. But now it's exposed. On Twitter. On Facebook. On YouTube.

Rather than make women seem "oppressed" or intelligent, all of this is doing the opposite. The new technology is ironically blasting us back to pre-Industrial Revolution ways of thinking about women because it exposes them outside the realm of day-to-day interactions where they have to behave with some normalcy.

All of this gives us a glimpse of their inner minds. And it seems like a nuthouse in there.

In much the way average Muslims found they were painted with a broad brush after Sept. 11 because of the actions of a few, women are going to find they're equally as stereotyped because of the actions of a few hashtag activists.

Funny enough, all of this new technology hasn't really altered how the world sees men. Everyone always knew we loved porn and sports. That's not news.

What we didn't know is that women can't handle just about anything. Now we know.

This is a problem. If I had any real reach I'd be going after the arresting officers and officials. Find out who they are and publicly humiliate / destroy them.

The fun thing to do as a student of this school would be to get your friends to all participate in rubbing her tits every time you walked by to make the bronze shine. Mmmmmm shiny tits.

Look at the Judge's ruling:

Quote:Before issuing an [adjournment contemplating dismissal] for both men, the judge expressed her skepticism about the charge because of the time of the arrests: "12:11AM, I can't believe there were many people on the subway".

I mean, how fucking ridiculous can you get? Arresting men for spreading their legs on a subway at midnight? The men were latino too. My guess: two white girls didn't like some Latino men hitting on them on the subway late at night, and at the next stop saw an officer(s) to get rid of them. The officer(s) then made up the manspreading charge on their behalf to white knight.

These laws are becoming tyrannical!

What another poster said about Twitter is true. There have been major "twitter outrage" scandals that upon investigation turned out to be coming from no more than dozen different IP addresses.

You know why? It's because the man is above the woman, and the woman is sitting down and actually listening to his rhetoric, instead of dismissing him like the bitches nowadays.

No longer is a man allowed to look at a woman in such a fashion. No longer is college a place where men meet women to engage in a discussion. It's a war zone, and the femenazis are taking over.

I think they would have been happier if the man had a startled look on his face, and the girl was getting off the bench and walking away, showing her 'empowerment' to walk away from another human being who just wants a chat.

This is unreal. I am genuinely shocked by this. Being arrested for how you sit on the train? I could understand, in some circumstances, maybe being ticketed if the person was being truly obnoxious. But for 'manspreading'. Shit.

Women these days think they can shop for a man like they shop for a purse or a pair of shoes. Sorry ladies. It doesn't work that way.

Women are like sandwiches. All men love sandwiches. That's a given. But sandwiches are only good when they're fresh. Nobody wants a day old sandwich. The bread is all soggy and the meat is spoiled.

That's exactly it. Reminds me also of this one question Heartiste asked - Alpha or Beta:

Heartiste's take was that he was more Alpha despite the wardrobe-malfunction. If you can pull something like that off with such self-confidence in a public space, then it's on.

Yeah - the feminists see this kind of body-language by a man and instinctively understand that this guy is more masculine. If the gender roles would be reversed and the girl would stand exactly like that in front of him, then they would applaud the statue as "breaking gender-normative behaviors". Of course it would look stupid and unnatural, but that is beside the point to them.

Good comparison.

As I like to say, when art is controlled by political factions, it ceases to be art. It becomes propaganda.

Feminists, totalitarian states, and religious fanatics (from any religion) seek to destroy art they disagree with and replace it with propaganda. When feminists came out against the way women were portrayed in the movie "Gone Girl," critics wondered if they weren't starting to stifle artistic expression.

I think that's the exact goal and it should frighten people more so than when the Christian right tried this in the '80s. Because unlike the Christian right, feminists and SJWs have the media on their side.

In all actuality, this reminded me of an Archie comic where Veronica had a prince of an Eastern European country over, and they were taking a picture, and Archie suddenly got up while they were sitting for the picture. The Prince was offended because Archie appeared 'higher', and more dominant than him. I applied the same logic to dominant body language-stature seen in the photo, and that was why I came to this conclusion. Different routes, but we do think alike. Wink I have read a few snippets of Heartiste on the subject of Japan's economy, he's good.

Once you go red pill, you start seeing things that were not there before.
