I'm surprised more people don't just go down the bribe route. Its what I've done a few times when I'm in the U.S. $100 or $200 to the bouncer between 3/4 guys is absolutely worth it to skip an hour of queing and any possible face control. Consider what you'd charge for an hour of your time during the work week, plus add the premium that your weekend night partying hours are even more limited. Usually means you don't pay cover too, in my experience, making it an even better deal.
