I can remember, over the last ten years, two now-defunct websites that made me laugh more than any others: Both were parodies of women and their stupidity.

One was called "feministing.org", it parodied "feministing.org", the feminist site that Amanda Marcotte, Jessica Valenti and others cut their teeth on. The feministing.org website was HILARIOUS! Their content was fantastic, and their graphics also.

I was asked to write for it once, and I turned them down. It was during a very dark time in my life, during my divorce. But I've always regretted not supporting the site more, and the site eventually went down. I recall that they mocked Amanda Marcotte by having her caricature refer to herself as "Amynda". "My name can't have a MAN in it!!" the caricature would shriek.

Although the site went down a long time ago (2007 or so?), I was VERY happy to learn that the content was archived and now reposted! http://www.feministing.org/

The only thing is that the wonderful graphics are gone; only the writing remains. Which is a shame, because the pink tones and graphics were a funny part of the mockery. They even mocked the "feministing" logo, which was itself intended to mock the trucker mudflaps with their silhouette of a sexy woman. In the "feministing.com" version, the sexy woman was giving the world the finger. But in the parody site, the woman's arm was inverted, and her middle finger was diddling herself. It was priceless.

Another great site was "Men Are Better than Women.Com". That site was never taken down - but it hasn't had new content since 2010. The founder, a guy who referred to himself as "Dick Masterson", tried other venues (such as comedy writing, cartoons, etc) to launch a career in entertainment. Not sure whatever happened to him. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY MODERN PARODY SITES THAT ARE AS FUNNY AS THESE? I'm particularly interested in sites that skewer feminists and SJW's. The contents of this forum are a great way to keep sane through real analysis. But there's nothing like a well-done parody site for a great bellylaugh!

ALSO: If anyone KNOWS anyone associated with feministing.org or MABTW, or knows what other projects they went on to, I'd LOVE to hear about it! Thank you.

BTW, some of the "parodies" from feministing.org have proven to be prophetic. In one, the woman says "I just feel so used. I’m going to call the date rape center, because I think this counts." That was considered absurd and humorous in 2005. Fast-forward ten years ....and there's actual legislation to this end! Scary shit.

The funniest comedy always has a basis in real life, in the tragedy of the human condition.
