This insecurity of mine has prevented me from talking to most others about this, but one of the first things to go in lifting is the disc space in the back after years of heavy power lifts like squatting and deadlifting. My height was damaged from an injury after powerlifting where my spine was tangled and stress-fractured near L5. I lost two inches on my height when I was 19. I also have clicking hip syndrome, which is the result of 1000s of lbs of pressure put on the hip joints from squatting for so many years.

One of the first things that women look at is your height when they size you up. I've been doing a lot of research and experimenting trying to remedy this issue as I would never want to undergo spinal surgery or have any kind of injection in my back. So after seeing multiple chiropractors and physical therapists, massage therapists etc, I've deduced that it takes a multiple of factors, including nutrition remedy, to correct in the case of injury, and if not, for those of you who want to gain a few inches to help your odds out with the ladies.

I've read the first two, and have been applying the exercises and breathing posture corrections and have already noticed a big change. My back cracks hundreds of times a day, and neck as well unfortunately, but supposedly all the cracks are just gas escaping from in between the spinal joints.

The third book talks about shin bone lengthening through exercise, haven't gotten through it yet.

If any of you have any expertise on this matter, I would appreciate any input.

Next I realize that after puberty the main reason why growing taller is prevented has to do with the fusing of the epiphyseal growth plates in the femur and tibia. So there are four areas that are mainly affected by the stretching of growing taller, the cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine, the hip joints, the neck, and the long bones of your legs.

There are no ways that I know of stimulating the growth of long bones after puberty other than surgery, which is not what I'm going to advocate on this thread. There is also an experimental method which I haven't tried because it would cost a lot, where you place wraps around your knees tethered to a mesh stimulated with an ultrasound frequency that is supposed to reverberate with the growth plates.

In addition, the books suggest you take in all your vitamins and nutrients, which we know of, and also the third book suggest an HGH cocktail, which is comprised of three ingredients, raw, washed, and blended up to make a drink: tomatoes, red cabbage, and fava (broad beans). This tastes pretty good actually, although it looks like the blob creamed his pants in your blender. Here is the quote from another article describing the drink with more scientific percentages:

"This juice recipe is really simple. The ingredients are tomatoes , broad beans and cabbage. Why should these ingredients?
Tomatoes contain High In Gamma-Aminobutryic Acid (GABA ), this is an amino acid, inhibitory neurotransmitter, responsible for inducing relaxation and sleep. Broad beans contain L-Dopa, an amino acid that has been used for years in the treatment of Parkinson Disease. L-dopa increases levels of dopamine in the brain and causes the secretion of growth hormone from the anterior pituitary gland. In 1970, Boyd and colleagues found that a 500mg oral dose “caused a significant rise in plasma growth hormone in PD patients, Initially starting therapy or on chronic L-dopa therapy for as long as 11 months. The rise in plasma growth hormone persisted for 120 minutes after the administration of the drug.” (4). Boden and his co-workers gave 500mg of the drug orally to four male and five female volunteers. “HGH levels rose sharply at 45 minutes from the basal value of 0.8mg/nil, to a maximum of 10.0mg/nil at 90 minutes (p<0.001) and declined thereafter. This rise occurred in eight of the nine subjects.” (5). Hayek and Crawford reported that six out of seven “constitutionally short children” responded to oral L-dopa (200-500mg), “…with elevations in HGH concentration above 7mg! ml, peak levels occurring between 30 and 120 minutes after drug administration.. “. (3). There have been many other study’s which also back up these results.
Cabbage contains L-Glutamine. This is the most abundant amino acid in the body. L-glutamine Is a readily available popular sport supplement. L-glutamines HGH level increasing ability’s may be a result of is its ability to boost protein manufacturing. A 1995 study by Tomas C. Welbourne of Louisiana State University College of Medicine in Shreveport. Welbourne showed that about 2 grams of glutamine raised HGH levels more than four times than when the subjects were given a placebo. Another study showed a 5g dose of the mixture L-lycine, L-glutamine and Niacin to increase serum HGH levels 70% (2).
Well, now you know what and why we should choose those ingredients. Then now let’s make it :
1. 3 Tomatoes –
2. 250 grams broad beans
3. 250 grams cabbage
Place those ingredients into blender and blend until liquid (add water to adjust consistency).
For daily consumption , you can make triple then put in your fridge . Drink them as your height program suggests."

Since I started this program on and off over the past three months I gained one inch in height, and I'm 24 years old. I plan to take it more seriously for the next year or so and see how far I can go with it.

Your epiphyseal cartilage/plates close permanently after puberty, so bone growth is impossible as an adult.

You have at best a year or two more before your growth plates fuse. I actually popped up an extra quarter inch a few years ago. You might get maybe a half inch or more if you start taking injectable HGH right now. Though at this point you should just go full Zyzz and do a cycle and a billion bicep curls.

How tall are you really?

I know, you here about the possible long term effects of lifts like squats, but I remain unconvinced one way or the other. It's an unfortunate truth, the deal with chicks and their height preference. Approach who you want, given it's the only way to know for sure, and regardless of the criteria for rejection, just roll on to the next one.

I'm about 5'10. I was 5'9 back in June. I'm 24 right now. I didn't reach my genetic height potential because of the injury, so I am correcting it now. It is working, albeit slower than the fads say it will work, but it is happening regardless.

So there is no plausible way to lengthen the bones without interfering with the growth plates?

Last thing I forgot to add was the deep sleep cycles. It is the fourth criteria for the grow taller program. I've been taking this HGH cocktail vegetable drink in the day time, and for it to take true effect the subject must be sleeping deeply each night. I also made a crude device that stretches me while I sleep, nothing outrageous just something that pulls slightly on your legs while your torso is pulled in the opposite direction, feels quite good when waking up in the morning without cramps.

As far as I can tell most weightlifting actually makes you appear slightly taller, due to improved posture.

It's really going to be much better for you to come to terms with whatever height you are or will be. It may sound like a strange suggestion, but if you have height issues you should probably specifically date women taller than you. If for no other reason than the stares you get when waking down the street. It's a hoot. I never specifically targeted taller women but dated a few around 5'10" some years back. I'm 5'7".

If you learn anything on this site you should learn that women have all sorts of desires and preferences. It's hardly worth trying to keep track. The preference of the moment will change as soon as she meets someone she's attracted to without the qualities she now says she prefers. Never discuss it directly with her, because she will deny it and be "offended", but preferences she verbalises are just placeholders for deeper desires she has, but doesn't understand. Trigger one of those and her stated conditions will disappear like mist.

Im a big believer in inversion to counter act the effects of compression from lifting and even daily gravity. Ive had Hang Ups for years like the image on the right



Its helped with back, hip, knee, and ankles and actually is great for your internal organs

A girl I used to see grew an inch due to rolfing. I saw her after six months, noticed she was a bit taller, and asked about it. She was 25. Might be something to look into.

I thought rolfing is just intense massage and breaking up the myofascia. How would that make one grow taller?

I spoke to a beefy cop once who was apx 5'9" and could tell I lifted a bit. Like his 3 other brothers, I'm 6'4". He was the only one in his family who started lifting pretty hard, early in life at 14-15yo. He swears that lifting in the late adolescent, and teenage years of his life changed his heighth permanently.

I graduated HS at 6' 3.74". By 24 I was 6'5" (final small growth spurt), at 31 I was 6' 4.5", and now I'm 6' 4" exactly. At 41, the majority of my lifting was done from 33-40, peaking at 39.

What's funny, is as other's have elluded to here, lifting, at least in appearance makes you seem taller posturally. It's not uncommon for people I knew from a decade ago to ask me if I grew taller since last they saw me. However, I was about .5" taller back then.

One thing's for sure, it sure as hell feels great to hang, or decompress.

The problem with the spinal decompression concept (after speaking with 2 chiropractors about it) is decades of natural compression can NOT be undone by a few sessions a week. You have to spend a considerable time "decompressed," like many hours weekly, to "undo" a lifetime of the FX of gravity. Your muscles need to be also deeply massaged afterwards to stop from pulling it all back together once upright for hours on end during normal daily activities. << In fact, this is the downfall of "crack wack" chiropractors. A long, deep tissue accompanying massage is needed to REALLY fix most back problems. Notice how they usually don't incorporate that? Job security.. monthly 'adjustments' ..

I will break six feet before my 25th birthday, I'm determined. My male ancestors were all over 6 ft and I probably could have made it there if I didn't fuck up my spine from powerlifting.

There are several other new strategies I've tried, and incorporating elements from all these fads, the ones that work, doesn't hurt, it actually makes life more focused and ascetic to go about this process.

As for the device, I call it "The Expander".

How your bed is made depends on how you will make it. I first used rope and clamps tied to the metal frame underneath, trawling up the front side of the bed up to the top of the mattress to where my feet will most likely lay.

However I could get only get constant tension with the rope so I decided that I need something with more elasticity, like bungee cords.

Here are the items I used for the current one:
Four to eight 4ft long bungee cords from home depot, around 8.00 a box.
One CCS strength harness from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Harness-CCS-ON-SAL...B00R3NLSC6
Several carabiners made for rock climbing, can buy at dicks or sports store.

Depending on the stretch, though ideally you don't want to stretch the bungee cord beyond 50% of it's own length, so no more than six feet for the four foot ones.

Hook the bungee cords to the lace hoop on the bottom of the ankle supports,

make sure you buy the bungie cords with the holes on the hooks so you can close them completely within the carabiner.

You should have two four bungie cords interconnected to a central carabiner that's underneath the center of your bed.

On the other side, the speed harness has a D-ring on the back where you can attach another carabiner and the tips of the other bungie cords, these other ends of these two are connected to the main carabiner under the bed center.

Fish the cords up through the back side of the bed up to the top of the mattress, I have a queen size bed.

Now you can lay down on the bed, first strapping into the ankle supports, you will feel a slight pull, but its tension that you can adjust and usually only happens when you bend your legs. Then lean back and strap in the CCS strength harness over your torso. It closes under your armpits so the tension on this one will pull at your back.

It was hard for me to move at first, but after using it for awhile I can fish around in it in the bed with ease and without getting rashes or skin asphyxiation.

So here is what it should be like: CCS strength harness-->carabiner (two ends of two 4ft bungie cords looped in)--> main carabiner (all four bungie cords looped in) --> two trailing bungie cords looped into the ankle supports.

Why ankle supports? Because it pulls your legs at your heels, which is the bottom of where your femur bone connects.

This whole process is synergistic, taking the HGH cocktail, vigorously working out, and sleeping with the deep sleep machine and wearing The Expander will stimulate your growth hormones and stimulate stretching during your nighttime recovery.

That's the prototype in a nutshell. Higher heights here I come.

For whatever it's worth when I graduated high school at 17 I was right at 6'0''. I ended up at 6' 3 1/4" and grew up util I was 25yo.

Dude I don't know if your "expander" will work or not but fuck if I don't give you A's for effort, determination and ingenuity. There's probably a market for this. Have you ever thought of exploring it as a product for development?

I'm of two minds about this. First off, it seems a little risky, and any gains you might make could just as easily be attributed to HGH.

Second off, if this shit works, there's definitely a market for it and the internet is the last place you'd want it posted all over

5' 10 isn't short at all. In fact it's pretty solid. It puts you an inch above the average US male height and you're taller than most girls.

Sure a super alpha like myself clocking in at 6ft will be able to cock block you just by walking in the room with my superior genetics, but it sounds like this insecurity of yours is radiating outward. Your inner game is causing your game to fail.

I know its said that if we do not have inner game or lack thereof it shows on the outside. The lack of confidence a man may endure because of his stature or his looks can be devastating. This I believe. However, in my delicious scheme to grow taller I can already see end results and look at myself always as a work in progress, there's no pure end goal with the height, just to out compete some of you taller guys and give you a run for your money and open up more female options for me. No in fact this is the beginning of something else, height is just one variable Beasty.

I can be anonymous and post what may seem like an insecurity here, that's why I made this thread lol. Still, I never reached my genetic height potential, even according to the formula, and that is my first thing to remedy.

I recommend the DOHM white noise machine to help induce longer periods of sound sleep, it works for me. Anyone have any experience with this?

As for the expander, even in the end if the results do not come to fruition, it does remove nasty charlie horses and makes you feel more loosened when you wake up in the morning.

^ Lol, thanks, I don't mean crossing some bizarre identity threshold like most of the mentally ill people in our present day seem to be doing. My approach is more practical and homeopathic, since I did have an internal disfiguring of my spine, and it's only a few inches in height I'm trying to regain.

I am a proud straight white male and I'll never deny that.

Does anyone else on here have any experience with growing taller after puberty? Anyone heard of the micro-fracture technique?
