Sheriff: UC Merced attacker planned to kill “a lot of people”

Merced County Sheriff Verne Warnke told the Sun-Star Thursday that the document found on the body of 18-year-old Faisal Mohammad included “a detailed list of his targets and his intentions.”

The computer science and engineering freshman planned to stab a police officer, take that officer’s firearm and use it to shoot students in a dormitory, Warnke said.

Mohammad’s motive appears to have been anger he felt over being “kicked out of a study group,” Warnke said. “He was mad at a student.”

UC officials and investigators have discounted any possible political or religious motivations behind the attack, which wounded two students and two others early Wednesday.

UC Merced Chancellor Dorthy Leland said there was no evidence to believe the attack was “in any way related to terrorism.”

Preliminary evidence, she said, suggests Mohammad “appears to have been motivated by personal animosities, not a political agenda.” She said, “it would be irresponsible” to draw any link to terrorism “based solely on the ethnicity of the suspect.”

Speaking to reporters Thursday, Warnke echoed Leland’s statements, saying evidence gathered suggests the attack was an “act of an individual for a vendetta … nothing to indicate there was any political or religious motivation.”

Investigators seized numerous items from the backpack Mohammad carried into the classroom, including several zip-tie handcuffs, petroleum jelly, a night-vision scope, a safety hammer, and rolls of duct tape, among other things.

Warnke said it remains unclear precisely what Mohammad had planned. Local and federal authorities, including the FBI and U.S. Department of Homeland Security, have yet to find anything to explain his motivation.

“We have nothing to indicate this person was on anybody’s radar,” Warnke said, “absolutely nothing they could find to indicate he was doing anything other than being a college student at UC Merced.”

Mohammad was shot and killed by UC police Wednesday after he stabbed and wounded four people in the ramapage that began in a second-floor classroom.

A 31-year-old contstruction worker who heard screams coming from room said Mohammad smiled as he slashed at people. The thinly-built freshman “looked scared,” Byron Price told the Sun-Star on Thursday.

"He also looked like he was having fun,” Price said. “His eyes, I could see fear in his eyes. He was smiling.”

Price was slashed in the attack, which also wounded two students and a female student advisor. All were expected to recover from their injuries.

As of Thursday morning, one student remained hospitalized but was expected to recover and the other student was released after being treated, according to a statement from university spokeswoman Lorena Anderson. The student advisor, a member of the UC Merced staff, suffered a collapsed lung and was recovering Thursday after successful surgery, she said. Other than Price, the names of the victims have not been released.

Mohammad was a June 2015 graduate of Adrian Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, according to Jennifer Dericco, public information officer for the school district.

Investigators believe Mohammad was armed with a large hunting knife when he entered a second-floor classroom as class was starting Wednesday and struggled with a male student, who was stabbed.

Price had been working on a remodeling project in the Classroom and Office Building when he heard a commotion in a nearby classroom and opened the door to intervene. There, he saw Mohammad, whom he described as about 5-foot-11 and “pretty scrawny.”

“He looked like a totally normal UC Merced student,” Price said. “I looked him square in his eyes when he was attacking me.”

Price was slashed in the abdomen. He was treated at Mercy Medical Center and released Wednesday.

Mohammad was shot and killed by UC Merced policejust after 8 a.m. on Wednesday as he ran from the two-story classroom building. The identities of those officers have not been released. One of the officers was placed on an automatic three-day leave from the department, a standard protocol in officer-involved shootings.

Warnke described Price’s actions as heroic.

“Without him, the first victim could have been a lot worse off, or even dead,” he said.

Classes at the campus northeast of Merced were canceled Thursday. Chancellor Dorothy Leland said activities on the campus would resume Friday.

Such incidents are disturbingly common on American campuses, as are suicides and destructive behaviors. This year, students have been stabbed at UCLA, Rutgers, the University of Illinois, two small campuses in Maryland, Chico State, Sacramento State … the list goes on. Almost every incident was the result of a fight or personal confrontation, not terrorism or psychosis.

My mother lives near a major university which is crawling with weird Asian & Indian nerds — computer science geeks like this guy. The Indian ones in particular have worse body odor than homeless people, so much so that if you're riding the bus and a group of them get on, you have to move away from them due to the stench.

These guys cannot possibly be getting laid. They do not have girlfriends. They are utterly fucked up and isolated. Yet they're expected to keep going, keep working, keep getting top grades . . . It's a wonder more of them don't snap.

Its a culture that doesn't recognise the existence of sexual frustration. Many Christians have the same issue.

The simple answer is that if a man wants to live a traditional no-sex-till-marriage lifestyle, then he needs to marry early. Early meaning 18-20. The fact that the entire middle east and south Asia has disregarded what was previously normal is going to cause so many problems in their/our society.

Now - to be fair such attacks are three kinds and I would separate them all:

1. Deranged crazy person who uses whatever doctrine available
2. False flag attacks by the powers that be - sometimes they act out terrorist attacks or at the very least they let them happen
3. Actual terrorist attacks with a certain political or religious leaning that likely would not have happened if that religion or ideology would not exist

If the Feds don't cover up anything, then we will see if this stabbing was done by a frustrated bullied incel who just needed to get laid or a frustrated bullied incel who decided to enact his own private Jihad to get to his 72 virgins.

^^ Not to derail (I've stated this in other threads) but Chinese media censorship must adhere to a strict cap on death tolls (Google "33 dead China"). So if a story out of China is about an incident and you see "33 dead", be aware the actual number is probably much higher.

Now back to the topic.
Since the west is continuing to be more dominated by sexually entitled & frustrated men, I'm actually surprised we haven't heard about an attack where the perpetrator is joined by another crazy to aid in their sexually frustrated quest for blood. Similar to how riots break out, but I predict that it will soon come to a point where an attack is recognized and celebrated by other would-be Elliot Rodgers who will aid and take part in the violence as it is happening.

Am I the only one who didn't hear about this attack? I mean, as annoying as it is to hear about multiple murders every time they happen (you know, because guns are evil), I never heard about this one.

Anyway, this really pisses me off about the media. A knife attack (not a gun) and the fact that he did it in the name of Allah...I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

After reading Mohammad’s manifesto Sheriff Warnke observed:

There was a gruesome statement he made about wanting to cut someone’s head off and kill two people with one bullet, and he planned to shoot the police. He did not have a firearm with him and didn’t seem to have a lot of experience with firearms because he thought he could kill two people with one bullet. He reminded himself in the list to raise the gun slowly. He scripted everything out in chronological order.

Warnke added, “I remember seeing four or five times, scribbled on the side of the two-page manifesto, where he wrote something like ‘praise Allah.'” But Warnke was quick to point out that Mohammad’s mass stabbing was not motivated by “terrorism” or “religion.”

It is interesting to note that witnesses to the classroom stabbing scene said Mohammad had a smile on his face as he tried to carry out his gruesome intentions.

But hey - after months the FBI officially admits that the guy was a big fan of ISIS and the initial reports of having found an ISIS flag on his body were correct, but suppressed by the usual multi-culti-obsessed buggers.
