You guys may have seen this breakdown of stats from last year showing how much time men and women spend on housework. There are a shit ton of infographics etc and women love to bring it up to show HOW much harder they work.

Here is the catch. How was the data collected? Its a self reported survey for fucks sake!

Of COURSE every bitch is going to say she spends every day on laundry and cooking meals. They aren't going to say "oh I spent 3 hours on facebook, 1 hour rubbing one out to pictures sent to me on snapchat from other men and 1.5 more hours napping"

Its like if there was report of dick sizes in the usa and it was from self reported data, the average man would have giant porn star power. No one is going to shame themselves, even anonymously.

I spend more time cleaning and cooking than any woman I've been with in the U.S. All my buddies generally keep a cleaner home than women. When I have seen these women clean, they take at least twice as long to do the same job not as well, so right there the greater hours spent.

My place is spotless because I keep it clean day to day, and don't do things to make it filthy in the first place, which in turn requires less time as all I need to do is a 5-10 minute touch up each day. Crumbs on the counter? Clean it right then. It takes much less effort to maintain.

Women on the other hand, tend to let their place go completely to shit, and then spend hours getting it back to clean.

I have to call bullshit on some of those stats. (refer to the chart at the bottom, the infographic is shitty and misleading)

The "laundry stat" for instance. Men have it completely right. If you burn through enough clothes that you have to do laundry every two or three days, then you deserve having to spend more time fucking about the laundromat, or doing laundry related chores.

"Grooming" is a curious one, with men taking 33 minutes and women taking 45. The stat is inversely related to income, but only for women. If that includes showering, that makes more sense, but again, if wasting time is such a huge concern for these people who believe that the extra 22 minutes per week women burn up to unconsciously uphold the patriarchy with their incessant floor sweeping; the time difference of which being that which is keeping women out of STEM fields then maybe feminists should hold seminars on how to fuck around less and get shit done on a time budget rather than prattle about and prance their lackluster performance in daily life as evidence that their contributions are somehow greater.

"Telephone to and from family" should be considered relaxation, not a chore. I'm not surprised women do more of it because they can spend hours talking on the phone about nothing at all. No doubt phone calls between men are 115% shorter on average as well.

Women also apparently sleep and party more (host and arrive). That's interesting.

Weirdly enough, families that had women spend significantly more time as the financial managers were also significantly more likely to be lower class. While this trend is not terribly surprising it just goes to show that if men in the family have an interest in money and finances, then being upper middle class or even wealthy is a lot more likely.

TL : DR - women in general are great at fucking about and making nothing into a big deal. All those same tasks I listed could just as well take 3x longer for a woman to do, because they're terrible at it.

Any glance at a woman's desk at work or car tells you all you need to know about their organization and cleanliness. This is not restricted to their physical space. Ask any girl under thirty how often they shower and you'll be disgustingly surprised. When you see one with her hair up, the reason is always, "I didn't want to do my hair this morning." The real answer is, "It's been three days since my last shower and my hair is going to betray the poor hygiene I mask by the L'occitane products my orbiters buy me."

I once asked a girl how often she showered and she seemingly bragged that it was every other day. Her response to my scoff was "whaaaat? (stupid, dopey, incredulous inflection in her voice) I like, hardly ever even sweat at all most of the time."

A friend of mine tells his woman that housework is not work because you have to do it anyway. I agree. Having my own place, cleaning takes around three hours a week. Washing clothes etc maybe another one or two, the machines do most of the work.
Cooking is simple too.

Every single thing you mentioned here is my experience exactly. It's really disheartening to have discovered well into adulthood, just how sloppy and unkept many, many women conduct their lives.

In fact, often two things occur. The girl meets you and likes you, all the sudden they bust their ass cleaning their house, cooking, etc. But beware, it's likely an act - performed to ensnare a man target - that will go away over time.

When you meet a girl in the US whose single, keeps a clean tidy house, and all around has her shit together, she's already ahead of 70% of the pack. Incentivization no longer exists for women to do their best in any arena... especially the home/house.

Thats the post that came to mind when reading the survey. I thought, I can only imagine what that 'nanny cam' wife would have self reported on her survey.

Don't even get me started. Housework is the biggest crock of shit there is. It's trivial to do and takes no time. This is not 1815, we have machines that make everything so easy it's ridiculous.

And the often unasked question: who sets the standard for how much work needs to be done in the house? Hmm? Might it be the woman? Might therefore men always seem to fail in this regard because they don't perform to some arbitrary standard?

I didn't look at the "stats" or the infographics (I never trust infographics - they are all made to just be buzz/hype and 99% of the time don't have any meaningful sources cited)

With that said, I will play devil's advocate here and say that at least from my experience, most girls do more house chores and other domestic duties on average.

I obviously haven't dated/banged/hungout with all the same girls you guys have, but the vast majority of 20-somethings living on their own that I have been with keep their places pretty clean, decorative, spend FAR more time getting dressed and grooming themselves (as they should), and have a lot more clothes and other bullshit than men do so of course spend more time doing laundry.

My friends, on the other hand, generally either messy or keep their shit as low maintenance as possible so they don't need to do many chores (will use plasticware instead of dishes, don't wear different clothes when going out at night versus being at work or hanging out at home). I would agree that women go out and party more from my observation.

One thing I definitely notice though is that most women I have met that have typical college-educated professional jobs tend to work far less than men. Most girls I've dated will work from home more often, go to work later and knock off earlier. they also take a lot more personal time off.

Overall I notice women spend more time and effort on self-image and entertainment and men spend more time and effort on their work and self-fulfillment. Makes sense.
