I met girl through an acquaintance about a year ago. At the time they were dating but this guy was the quintessential beta, putting in years of groundwork and tentative pushing to snag her. TLDR she got bored of him and started messaging me out of the blue saying she had broken up with him.

She knew a few girls I was playing around with personally but started chatting to me in a friendly manner. After the blue she hits me up 2:30am on NYE asking to hang out. She picks me up from my house and we go and get some food and she breaks it to me that she had broken up with her boyfriend.

Problem is she seems completely content to just banter and turn me into a gay best friend. I always say things like "lets catch up soon, my fingers are getting sore from this facebook shit" or things like that and she always replies with "sure, sounds good" yet never commits to anything.

Basically two questions. Has my somewhat extensive "friendly" conversations with her cancelled me out as a potential mate. She's quite innocent and has told me extensively about her limited sexual past and constantly asks me if im still seeing X, Y, Z girl(shittest?)

TLDR should I only talk to her for logistical reasons or have I already friendzoned myself?
(if you're wondering:Mattius why don't you just fuck around with other girls, she's too difficult. She seems like someone I could give a decent amount of time to unlike the other basic college sluts I have been fucking around with)

I think you're already friendzoned bro. That doesn't mean theres not a way out though. I would try to bang this chick as fast as possible if I were you. You're last sentence makes me think your feelings could be impacting your game as well. She never commits to anything and you haven't fucked her yet but you think she may be worth a lot of time? I'd fuck her really well and then step back. See if she comes to you.

Thanks man probably what I already knew. Should I go full Bruce Willis and basically say see me again or I'm not going to talk you again(obviously in a nicer way). Advice?
I may have made the mistake of telling her about the sex I had with a girl she knows (although not a friend) and she thinks I'm somewhat of a player. This could either be a positive or a negative...

I wouldn't go full Bruce Willis and give her any ultimatums. I would simply follow Tuth's First Date Bang Recipe. Even though its not your first date you could modify it to fit your situation. The basics still apply and combine alcohol+close proximity you'll have your best chance of her biting.

The second part about her thinking you may be a player or whatever doesn't matter.

She asks you that question for two main reasons. First, she wants you to think that she is interested. Second, she wants to know if you are still surrounded by girls(social proof)

No. Dont talk logically with girls. Dont remind them they have upper hand, either. They will never respond the way you want them. Never think about '' what to text next '' while texting with them. Actually, never text with them. Call instead. Use text as setting quick meetings.

Listen to the good advice above. Only message her to meet up for a date. Don't message to be her "gay" friend!!! Then back to your place and fuck her, that's the only way out of the friend zone.

Did you guys realize you were responding to a thread that died NINE months ago?

Good advice about not speaking logically with girls. There's nothing wrong with texting them, but being real responsive/long messages over FB is easily friend-zone territory.

^ OP don't do that anymore - 'let's catch up soon'. No - when, where, what time, what day of the week. Set something up, then she might commit. Don't suggest that meeting up could be possible (friendzone material). Be bullish and set it up. If she flakes, you can move on.
