So apparently there's a Baywatch 'the movie' coming sometime in 2017. I actually never liked Baywatch and Pamela Anderson wasn't my go-to for a fap session. This new girl tho.. God had a great day when he created Kelly Rohrbach.

Apparently when we were all worrying about peak oil and the fossil fuel crisis in the last 20 years, we should've been worried about peak creativity. It seems there's none left.


ETA - We're in our first serious generation of remakes now. Sure, there have been some remakes since movies first came out but now it's like 50% of big studio movies are remakes. Even lots of cult classics are being remade now. It's going to be really fucking depressing if in 20-30 years this cycle happens again.

Roadhouse might get remade twice in my lifetime, that's a crazy thought.

It is much easier to do a remake than actually write something new from nothing; plus you do not run the risk of the show failing. (unless you change it so much that you mess up whatever made the original show popular.)

You and I could do a remake with an electronic copy of the old scripts and just do find/replace.
