Does a piece of gum indicate a makeout is desired? I was out with this girl the other night and she was a stone cold fish. No touching, very little smiling/laughing, no other IOIs. I put in my best hour of work on her but no bites. I figured no big deal, at least I learned some things that don't work. Then she hands me a gum. In my experience that means tongue action is imminent, but with this girl and her spartan-like stoicism the whole night, I assumed she was just being polite. Or I had bad breath which might explain the lack of success. Anyway I didn't make a move when I walked her to her car because we had no physical escalation throughout the night and it would have been awkward to force it that late. But a girl friend says gum from a girl always means kiss me you idiot and this girl was just shy. Anyone have an opinion on this?

It typically does mean "kiss me you idiot" but usually after you have escalated kino, playful touching, received subtle IOI's and at least can grab her hand without her freaking out and pulling it away.


The next time you are unsure, grab her hand. It is the best indicator if she is open and waiting to Kiss you.

If she cannot stand you holding her hand for a full 2 minutes, you can bet your ass a kiss will be rejected!

You should have just pushed for the kiss. Always. Till you get that natural killer instinct where you have no qualms and no hesitation to kiss a girl. Practice in all sorts of situations.

And on a side note, "handing out a gum" is a move I use on girls all the time. It not only insinuate that I am going for the kiss, it might come across as a neg and make the girl herself go through all the questions that YOU are showing here, which is more power for me. You want the girl to go through all those insecure-rationalizations you were going through yourself.


You don't need to care if the girl is "shy" or if she wants to kiss you or not. You are indifferent to what she wants, more focused on what YOU want.

... and you want to kiss her, right?

Possibly. I understand your question. It is a legitimate one.
Still, you made a fundamental mistake that I used to do myself: not trying to kiss her because her detached demeanor put you off balance.
You should have done it no matter what and you wont have all these hypothetical questions twirling in your head. As Roosh says in Bang: a good player kinos the girls and tests her during the date so that when he goes for the kiss he has higher chances. Still, Roosh added, if for whatever reason you didnt build the right attraction/comfort you STILL go in for the kiss. Kamikaze.

- It is liberating.
- Builds your alpha character no matter the outcome.
- And, most importantly, it tells you where YOU STAND in relation to the girl.

The only scenario where I dont kiss a girl on date 1 is if I really dont like her and just want to get the hell out of the date.
EDIT: last three times a girl gave me a gum (usually when I am walking her to her car) I kissed her within the next 5 min.
