It seems that 'Game' can vary so much to the point where you can almost ask yourself whether 'it' exists in the form that it's spoken about

You can compare certain PUA's and it's like night and day, yet they both get results. One might be super low energy and seem almost disinterested, not much humour, make it very unclear that he is trying to pickup the girl etc, and the other guy will be high energy, show lots of interest indeed, take the whole interaction like a big joke and basically 'trolling' the girl in person, but still make it very clear that he 'likes' her.

These 'frames/vibes' determine the words that come out of your mouth and so it's as if there is no such thing as 'saying the wrong thing' which implies there isn't anything to learn.

So, describe your game:

As an example of how your reply might look, here is how someone else described their game on another forum I read.

''I tend to open with something funny. Maybe an observational opener, usually. Introduce myself, and then just start finding out about them - Asking them questions about themselves. I try to keep it light so as not to show my hand too early on. I say lots of weird random shit to make her laugh. I've usually touched her a little bit by now. If she seems into me, i'll start getting more physical and will tone down the jokes. I might use a routine or 2 to help build a connection at this point. I'll usually isolate her. Then i'll go for the kiss. Sometimes i'll pretend to be losing interest in her when I feel that she's very into me to make her feel as though she's 'earned' the bang. My game is to be fun and care-free at the beginning, and then show my interest later so that she thinks it's her mind instead of her looks that makes me like her''

I show up, tell her exactly what I want from her, and invite her to join me on my crazy ass journey.

If she says "yes" , the things I will introduce her to do are things that she will never forget.

If she says "no" I'll wish her the best and turn around one last time to tell her she's still smoking hot and then go on my way.

I don't really worry about the in between bullshit because it doesn't matter. All that matters is showing up and offering an open invitation to make a memory worth remembering.

Bring her into my world. Night game, day game, social circle game are all ways to do it. I'm a know it all with a heavy dose of megalomania in my system. The more she asks questions and tries to know me the more she gets dragged in. The fun part being I don't answer any of them and just deflect. I just sort of take her around in there where it's just me and her viewing the world kind of like through a telescope where it just doesn't matter.

If it lasts a while. She might learn a few things about me. And I might learn her first and last name. Until then she's spare blood.

If it doesn't work out. Well we'll figure what works or doesn't. The process itself was fun as it was.

Do you think that your looks determine the type of 'game' you can run?

I was talking to someone earlier who was talking about how 'women want what they can't have!' and to 'make them chase' and to 'act aloof' etc.
But then I was reading somewhere else about how important it is to 'show your intentions early and clearly', and to 'be bold and unashamed in your desires' etc.

Kind of conflicting advice, no? If you tell them that you want them and show interest, they know that they can 'have' you when they want, and then that takes away for 'they want what they can't have' angle, no?
It confuses me because I read this stuff, and then go out at night and have no idea how to act as one minute i'm worried about showing my intentions, and then the next minute i'm worried about 'making her chase' etc, and I think it sometimes manifests itself as someone who is just 'in the middle' and probably puts the girl off since i'm almost ticking NONE of the boxes *(not to mention completely stuck in my head!)

Then, someone else mentioned that since they were not handsome, their game was much more indirect and uses humour and is more aloof.

But i've also noticed that some of the very good looking pickup guys don't 'make the girl chase' AT ALL, and go in all guns blazing with compliments and kino and sexualise the conversation showing their intent as clear as day

Always. Your look(both the things you can and can't change) sends a message to girls and even to the people around you. It's a set of parameters within which you can act accordingly for maximum success. Some things like say baggy jeans+hoodie vs. a more fresh, collected look allow for more options in one vs the other. The former may get a number at a Starbucks at 8 AM the latter works most anywhere etc.

Well there's 2 main types of people with their own subdivisions.

Guys who naturally do things up front and get away with it by being very much physically in shape and ahead of the curve/naturally more domineering like LINUX is.

And guys who not only enjoy the wordplay and games that women play, but derive the entertainment from it like myself(and to be honest girls here in the States are pretty bad at it compared to foreign women so more fun for me). And leverage that into one night stands or numbers. Although it's more time consuming than the former strategy it's atleast for me a bit more enjoyable. When this approach starts to go bad is when you start to solely focus on entertaining women rather than yourself. If you start doing that switch up to the former.

The one thing they have in common is that in both situations women do still know the score. The guy talking to them wants to fuck. They should never think otherwise. Even the latter guy is letting her know pretty clearly with a bit of dirty humor.

Whichever personality type you fall into is where you decide which one to follow.

Again she should never question your intentions. You're just going to have to let her know in one way or another.

Well you're looking at what happens when people experience life differently. Each guy has a personality and look that illicit a different response so each of those guys have to go about doing it a different way.

Game is something that you tailor to yourself at the end of the day. Forums like this just helps you see how other guys do it so you can figure it out for yourself. There's no be all end all answer as to the "correct" way to do it. It's whatever works. You're playing a 3-dimensional game with too many options.

If I had to sum it up in 4 words, I would describe mine as the "touch her leg game".

Whenever I have a chance, I like to get a chick seated next to me and I put my hand on her inner thigh as I talk to her. It also works when one of us is sitting on a barstool while the other is standing.

I don't do any of the clownish entertainment game or any of that BS, though. It's all just inane getting to know you chat, but my hands do the escalation.

My game is all over the place, it really depends on my mindset going into the night and sometimes changes due to my environment and/or company. Most typically I run strong silent type, always scanning and reading the crowd. When I do approach I go off the general vibe I get from the girl. If she is shy or timid I'll just strike up conversation and build rapport. If she comes off as confident and aloof I try beat her level of it.

When I'm out with the right group I'm more extroverted. I'll be far more charismatic and animated. I'll be the story teller, playful asshole, or the comedian. But even when in some groups I'll be a cocky introvert.

For me it's all about adapt, improvise and overcome. You have to get used to reading people and groups. I always try to adapt to each group I encounter. I would suggest beginners try talking to a wide range of different groups throughout a night. From the not so good looking quiet wallflower to the girl who thinks she's the hottest shit in the bar. See how well you can switch it up in a short timeframe.

Don't they ever whack your hand away or give you a weirded out reaction? maybe it's just UK girls.

They are fine with my touching their shoulder at the point I make them laugh or hi-fiving them, but If I take the pickup advice on kino and start trying to touch their legs and hips and stuff, they usually don't react well (only time it works is on the 1 in a million time that the girl clearly thinks i'm physically attractive)
