The reason for not going out may or may not be legit. Either way it's outside your control and I don't think it's wise to show more investment than her.
Options:
-If she's not into you and you show more enthusiasm than her: you give her the satisfaction that you want her while she doesn't.
-She's ambivalent and waiting for more commitment from you: "Quid pro quo, bitch!", put in the exact amount of effort she puts in, let some other guy be that beta that begs her to go out.
-If she likes you and wants to go out with you but really can't do it this week: she shouldn't blame you for anything, she asked for postponement, just remind her discreetly and only once next week, I think that if you play it cool will only be a plus.

Because you are merciful and deep down a sensitive soul, you decide to believe her excuse and give her one chance. Just one.
Big gestures like the James Bond thing are fun but valid only after you get to know her better.

Personally I wouldn't stress over this and would give her a break. She may legitimately be into and also legitimately be busy. I have a zero tolerance policy for flaking/cancelling on me, but I wouldn't really consider this flaking. I would probably wait a few days, text to set up something concrete, and if she blows that off then its done.

Glad I found this thread..

This week is winter break from school, some may legitimately not be available until next week.

I stumbled across a local 18 yo, 7.5 online. Traded numbers, she stays in the college dorm. She doesn't drive, and she's home with her folks for the winter break (and can't get out to hang).

Right now she seems down once she's back in her dorm, but I'll play the long game and hit her up every couple days with some of the suggestions in this thread.
