Googled this guys case but all sources completely ignore any prospect of punishment for the false witnesses.

Title of post does not reflect the fact that his friend perjured himself and falsely testified against him. Don't think you can pin this all on the girl. Prosecutors also seemed to have withheld information (typical).

I did read about that - But, I figured why would a guy do that to his friend.. He was bullied and intimidated and coached to do so (he was a kid then) based on the false testimony by the female.. Imagine 2 months later for money you go and tell cops you saw X guy.. why not the same night when a murder happened across where you work etc. ?
