DC reporter calls town "absolute worst place to live in USA," ends up moving there
While living in Washington DC he wrote the article. People from the town invited him to visit, and next thing he did was pack his family and move there.

Town has nice folksy charm. Note how quick he was to move away from DC. He's not the only one!

I remember this story from back then, but never have seen this video.

This reporter's flamingness strikes me as off the charts, but apparently he has a wife and twin toddlers.

Surely he moved from DC to Red Lake County (RLC) because RLC enjoyed better diversity; perhaps RLC's proximity to Canada allowed some cultural osmosis, and led it to better showcase solidarity with our latino, black, and Muslim brothers and sisters?

Quote:Red Lake County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota...

The racial makeup of the county was 97.44% White...

Oh.

The man strikes me as a cucked homosexual. But he has a semi attractive wife and young children and owned up to a poorly written article. Good for him.

Northern Minnesota is one of the most charming places I've ever visited. I lived in their shit capital for many years, but I was always taken back by the good nature of the rural Minnesotans when I traveled outside the city.

This guy had better be careful, otherwise he might end up redpilled. On some instinctive level him and his wife probably know that a peaceful, all-white town in the middle of nowhere is a better place to live than a multicult hellhole like DC, though I doubt they'd ever admit it.

It's probably a nice place to live, and I bet the locals will toughen him up over time.

I think that on some deep level he knows that those towns are 100 times better for his sons to be raised in.

Journalists now don't get paid enough to be insulated from the effects of diversity and big-city crime. You need to make 200k for that in DC.

Still funny how life works sometimes.

Most of my friends live in Minnesota and this is how Minneapolis used to look like in the past. Now you need to move out into smaller towns for that.

This guy will be given enough rope to hang himself and when he fails to unfuck his PC brain he will one day wake up to find his welcome has been worn out and that the locals are now and for all time going to treat him like an unwanted drifter.

I've seen 'em come. I've seen 'em go.

If you move to the sticks and you don't leave you ego in the suburbs then you're wasting your fucking time

The problem with guys like him is that they may change their location and clothes, the thinking still remains.

Why did texas turn purple this past election. Answer: Too many Californian liberals.

Thats true. There will reach a saturation point as people flee liberal hell holes and in turn help flip the new paradise into a lite version of the one they just fled. My dad always said that liberalism - well communism in his case - was a brain disease.

The difference here is that I think this guy actually will end up being changed. I doubt there is any fear that liberals will move to a town of a few thousand in northern Minnesota with an ego driven agenda to "help the backward people".

The real turning point will be when they start hearing about Somalians fleeing Minneapolis in their direction, heading toward the open Canadian border, and he feels a tickle in his stomach and realizes its fear. He might battle this thought internally for a night, but when he comes to terms with it and tells his wife the next morning, she will just smile knowingly and nod her head. This was the real reason they took their boys from the surrounding DC suburbs.

That will only happen, when Minneapolis and other cities are 80% Islamic.

Generally small towns will remain in the domain of the locals if they can survive financially that is.

Even rural areas in countries like Sweden are known to remain 99% white because other immigrants don't want to live there. The government tries to move them there, but they balk at the idea of living surrounded by woods and open fields.

For the author - he likely did not even consider those things consciously. He was just made welcome there, found the place peaceful and cheap. Then it was a no-brainer for him to move there. Funny story, but not entirely illogical.

Good God. There's a "right size" for a nice small town where people still know each others' names but have enough going on to mind their own business and avoid the fishbowl effect.

1,500 ain't it. That's still squarely in "people who are over 40 but are still bitter about things that happened in high school because they see those people every day and everybody still talks about it" territory.

D.C. must have done some terrible things to him to make him swing that far in the other direction.

Already happening, hundreds have left Minneapolis to jump the Canadian border and claim refugees status.

What I meant though, is even the thought of them coming in his direction makes his pecker shrivel. Not actually moving there. Though that would be a watershed moment for the CBC, and their Little Mosque on the Prairie show.

He had a horrible commute because he was poor (for DC) and could not live somewhere close to DC (reporters make shit money). Also, demonstrates a prevalent problem with "journalists" today: their "research" consists of using Google, they rarely go to the scene of what they're reporting about to see, hear, and feel for themselves.

We're already there. Ask anyone who lived in Colorado prior to 2008-2010 ish.
