I am looking to take a couple of trips out of state (TX) for the weekend. Fly out on Friday and come back on Monday type deals. What cities would you recommend visiting and how would you rank them? Trying to keep the travel time under 4 hours for jet lag and time reasons but will hear arguments for other places too.

Going through some old threads, it seems like these names are popular:

1. Scottsdale
2. New Orleans
3. Kansas City, Mo

Other possibilities could include:
Albuqurque
Oklahoma City
Omaha- slightly over 4 hours
Chicago- slightly over 4 hours
Atlanta- slightly over 4 hours
Little Rock

Chicago is not a bad choice; I did the flight from DFW to there and four days in Chicago. Made the mistake of taking the train into Chicago at night; nothing happened but it's a bit sketchy. Nicest bums I've ever met were in Chicago though.

I like Santa Fe too, but maybe that's just me and where my interests lie. You'd have to fly to Alb though, so both would be a good option to me.

Good time to leave town with a hurricane that might drop 30 inches coming. I like Nola but they could flood too.

What do you want to do while there?

Game?
Outdoors?
Relax?

Scottsdale is a really great city with nice girls, decent weather (not right now though), and lots of stuff to do. Tempe is close which is the home of ASU and is a destination unto itself.

I had great fun in NOLA, but honestly wouldn't go back with my own money.

Somewhere in Colorado might work for you depending on your interests.

For these trips, game and relax. At other times of the year, I would choose outdoors over relax. Would like to do this within the next month or two. Also, would prefer to avoid the heat (and now possible hurricane) for a bit as it has been a little too hot and humid lately.

Do you have to stay in the US? I'd honestly recommend Mexico City if not.

Mexico City. Cheap flights with United, Aero and southwest. Cancun also. Bump the States. If I had to choose within the States, nola for the party scene and food.

Fortunately you can find flights from Dallas to Santa Fe the last time I checked, I think via American. I can vouch for Santa Fe, and also Taos, in the summer. Taos is also a great place for skiing in winter. Santa Fe has a great vibe and some great food and beer options. Both are big cities for tourists.

Other cities, which are good for partying or finding women, and who offer some unique cultural opportunities:
1. NOLA- Great food, bars, lots of tourists.
2. Vegas- Same as above, but on steroids.
3. Oxford, Mississippi- College towns in the South are legit. Oxford is where Old Miss is located. The bar scene in this place is incredible and everyone is super friendly. Southern college girls are the best in my opinion.
4. Memphis- Another great party city, just not as much on the radar as NOLA or Vegas. Beale street is great for drinking, also some great BBQ and music here.

Weather is usually pretty decent in all of the places.

I live in DFW and these are my go-to destinations for a (long) weekend in no particular order:

Albuqurque (skiing)
NYC
NOLA
Mexico City
Monterrey (Mexico)
Cancun/Playa Del Carmen
Chicago (not in the winter)
Memphis

• 2 hour direct flight from any of Texas Cities: Dallas, Houston, Austin. Actually from San Antonio its really like 90 minutes.
• Much easier girls than Guadalajara, Monterrey, and even Cancun. Really only place that you can guarantee a lay in a 4 day trip.
• Avoid heat = avg temps in upper 60s
• Game = 100X over any American city
• Hurricane = None, its inland
• Outdoors = Plenty of massive parks, ancient ruins and shit to see outside. Knock 2 bird with one stone and enjoy outdoor parks while gaming girls there
  

Someone suggested Monterrey its an even shorter flight and the girls are hotter there but they are generally the toughest girls of Mexico, some people the girls in Austin are actually easier.

Atlanta I lived there, its not the hardest place to get laid and its no pussy paradise, plus there is really nothing to do.

Cancun is good option too but has heat all year long even in December its pretty sweltering and need A/C to sleep.

Also check out Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, its like the Manila of the Caribbean, but beyond girls its an ugly place for activities, plus sweltering hot year round.

I’m definitely gonna take a vacation to Mexico City at some point. Do you need to speak Spanish fluently to pull shorties there, though? My Español is only conversational, at best.

How are they looks-wise? Most of the Mexican women in Los Mangeles were pretty ugly. Mediocre in the face, flat booty, and a refrigerator-style body.

Spanish helps a lot but is not necessary in cdmx as many girls here speak English.

Average girl here is pretty bad so you have to screen very hard, but there are accessible hotties.
