Summary: I need a partner for a 10 day long road trip in Ecuador. 1st of November till 10th of November.

After going to Ecuador once beginning of these year I believe it is one of the most beautiful places in the world to travel around. Snowy mountains, jungles, volcanoes, waterfalls, it impressed me.

I am coming back for more. I have reserved a car and drawn an approximate plan of action.

   

I have done those types of travel before, where I rent a car and book a hotel in a new town every day, but never have I done it alone. Since I don't have any leads or male friends in Ecuador I have decided to turn to a place that has never failed me before - RVF.

I know YOU are there somewhere, reading this and craving adventure. Don't hide in shadows and reply here

My goal is to find one travel buddy, since the car I am renting is small. If there will be more than one interested I will update for a bigger car and maybe together we will even be able to afford an SUV.

Also the number one priority of the trip will be adventure and sightseeing and pussy will be secondary, but I am sure there will be some inevitably.

All you pay is your share for a car rent. At the moment the rent price I got was 140$ without an insurance. Insurance is 100$ extra. I have not yet made up my mind to buy or not to buy.

Ecuador is cheap and dollars are in circulation. Since we are going to be moving around quickly, I don't see any reasons to book expensive accommodation, so hostels and cheap hotels will be fine for 8 hours of sleep. We might stay for few days at a time in backpacker centrals like Banos, to chill and party a bit.

Altogether I would expect a budget to be less than 30$ a day for person including car rent, accommodation and food.

Current state of affairs: there are few guys who are almost going but nothing solid until the tickets are booked. Max limit is 3 more guys I guess so the first 3 to buy tickets are the 3 who are coming, if there will be that many.

@memcpy: No Ayuhuasca was planned. As far as I know if you do it right with the preparations etc, it will take a week in itself. You can come drive around with us and then stay for a week at an Ayuhuasca retreat ask @rottenApples he is an Ecuador Ayuhuasca expert on this forum! You should have a same end date as me so yea come ride with us.

@ThisIsTrouble: I am not rich enough to afford an SUV myself. I have been to Ecuador before and the roads are pretty good. I could use a regular car to get from town to town and then get Jeeps where needed, like Cotopaxi climb. But if I get 2 guts to join me we will definitely upgrade to an SUV.

I wish I could go, but I have a trip to Colombia booked already!
I´m a 36 year old white guy from Brazil, very fit with intermediate game (also have plenty of experience with ayahuasca in case anybody wants to ever try it).

Fucking jealous of you guys!
I hope there´ll be other trips in Latam.

You guys are mathafuckers visiting Ecuador just after I left! I have visited all those places before tho, a couple more than once. Nevertheless , I shall have some ashuar indigenous tribe hunt you guys down and put you on a stick like a guinea pig for not coming earlier.

That, and please advice when any of you fuck one of my girls. I'm already eskimo brothers with Vinny, but it would be my honor Scotian to have you as well in the list of honors. Ecuador is fucking amazing in my opinion and I will miss it, but Africa is calling!

Vinny I’ll let you do most of the planning, I’m down for whatever and am really looking forward to exploring a new country. I may tack on a couple of extra days at the end to stay in the country, maybe hit up a beach town or go trip out on psychedelics in the jungle or something.

Results of the travel buddy search:

1 member confirmed - Scotian himself, whom I will be meeting in Bogota today.
1 member flaked on us - undisclosed.
1 member refused by us - undisclosed.
Numerous members wanting but not willing for one reason or another.

This was pretty spontaneous short notice travel arrangement. With the amount of messages I received I found that if the trip was planned few months in advance with flexible travel dates we could have easily collected a bus of willing RVFers.

Another cool idea would be 2-3 people meeting in Europe, buying a camper van and exploring/banging Europe throughout the summer. Selling it in autumn.

Anyways back to Ecuador. Will most likely post some trip updates in this thread or my world travel thread. Excited to be on the road again.

During the day walk around El Ejido and look as white and touristy as possible.

At night, walk around the Mariscal and do the same.

People were smoking in the kitchen of a hostel I stayed at in the Mariscal. I'll withhold the name out of respect to the proprietors, but PM me if you need to know.

High quality weed is referred to as "cripi" and I'm proud to say I don't know the word for schwag.
